Owner description: The Causeway Coastal Route is a designated scenic tourist drive around the coast of Northern Ireland between the cities of Belfast and Londonderry. The route follows the coast and takes you to several major tourist attractions along the way including The Giant's Causeway, Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge, Dunluce Castle, The Old Bushmills Whiskey Distillery and the Glens of Antrim. There are also nine scenic loop roads that run off the main Coastal Route. These are: Islandmagee, Slemish Mountain, Glenariff, Glendun, Torr Road, Glenshesk, Bann Valley, Binevenagh Mountain and the Roe Vally. One of these (Torr Scenic Road)is quite narrow so do be careful if your not used to our small roads, one tip is to pull in your wing mirrors on the Torr Road.

“Average views of the countryside”
Reviewed August 3, 2013

Several interesting points to visit along the way, but the route itself is somewhat boring. The views of the countryside are much better to the South. Take this route if you have the time, but mostly for the waypoints, like Dunluce Castle or Bushmills Distillery.

“Great drive”
Reviewed July 29, 2013

Wow! What a great drive. Just take your time and enjoy the views. Stop off at the various points along the long and winding road to take everything in. We had a few hours to get from Belfast to Armoy and we thoroughly enjoyed this part of our journey.

“Don't drive here!”
Reviewed July 29, 2013

Whatever you do, don't drive here, not because the roads are bad or busy,, simply because you will miss out on some of the most wonderfully beautiful scenery on the planet, from the coach I had the most perfect outlook and was not disappointed in what I saw.
