Owner description: The Causeway Coastal Route is a designated scenic tourist drive around the coast of Northern Ireland between the cities of Belfast and Londonderry. The route follows the coast and takes you to several major tourist attractions along the way including The Giant's Causeway, Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge, Dunluce Castle, The Old Bushmills Whiskey Distillery and the Glens of Antrim. There are also nine scenic loop roads that run off the main Coastal Route. These are: Islandmagee, Slemish Mountain, Glenariff, Glendun, Torr Road, Glenshesk, Bann Valley, Binevenagh Mountain and the Roe Vally. One of these (Torr Scenic Road)is quite narrow so do be careful if your not used to our small roads, one tip is to pull in your wing mirrors on the Torr Road.

Every turn taken reveals a new surprise - ruins, beaches, and beauty. Ring of Kerry eat your heart out!
We drove from Carrick-a-rede rope bridge to Belfast - were in total awe almost the entire way!

“Amazing Scenery”
Reviewed June 30, 2013

Worth following this route, getting out of the car every so often to explore a bit more. It tracks the coast fairly well, but there are bits where you can get closer on the small roads if you want. Some of them are really small though!

“Lovely Views”

Very scenic and well worth the climb up. Once on top a lovely walk. However didn't complete all of it just the section around the causeway.

“Beware the wind!”
Reviewed June 27, 2013

Offering several paths and free audio tour (however bus journey is chargeable, £1, - only required if it's very cold or raining though) this is run very well and is definitely worth seeing and spending a few hours on - can take a pushchair on the easiest walk.
