The Central bar is one of the Weathersppon chain which give excellent value for money on both food and drinks, but not everybody's cup of tea.

I'm a big fan of Wetherspoon pubs. This one is a little small and lacking the character of many in England however the beer and the food is as good. You get better than average pub grub for cheaper than average price. They serve great breakfasts from Early and serve food right through to late. In my book if your after decent pub grub and decent beer it's hard to do any better. I just wish the surroundings were a little more special.

It,s a true saying you only get what you pay for !!! Yes the food is cheap BUT the quality of the food is terrible. The chips , meat & veg are all frozen foods . Cheap brands. Although the drinks are cheap , we went in for tea, and came out hungry, so went to the local chippy and got a good fish n chip portion . I certainly would NOT. Recommend the central bar for food. We used to frequent JD weather spoons years ago and the food was GREAT & reasonable, but it seems they do not use chefs for cooking, because anyone can take food from the freezer & microwave it, ( which seems to be the way they cook in the central bar) As a traveller We have been all over Scotland, England Ireland & Wales. It's the same in every JD weather spoons.
