Good central location, close by the castle. A hotel with a certain degree of "character" along with pleasant, efficient but firm staff. No view of the sea nearby and situated on the main street with late night noise especially when the bars close. We found the hotel rooms somewhat shabby and rather expensive for what they were. We had a room on the top floor which had some form of conditioning unit outside and which kept us awake throughout night. We requested a change for the following evening and were proposed a room on the 1st floor. We were duly warned that the hotel sponsored Karaoke (on Saturday and Sunday evenings until midnight) and that this would be noisy. The warning was well founded. Our room turned out to be directly above the "music" along with a serious level of noise which was simply unbearable where the walls literally shook - so much so that we had to leave the room and wait in the lobby until the music finished. Note that if you wish to leave within 24 hours notice of a reservation, the full room rate will have to be paid.
