It was a lovely surroundings and we were served by waitress which was a change from having to stand at counter and wait. I had the butternut squash soup with chilli bread and it was delicious. The selection of buns, scones and traybakes were lovely. I was too early for the lunch menu but it sounded great and I would defo be returning to sample. The waitress was very helpful and pleasant.

“DELIGHTFUL”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 16, 2013

What a beautiful delightful tea room, which has been completely refurbished to a very high standard.
On entering the tea room, i got that lovely coffee aroma and was taken back in time with lace table cloths and a china cup and saucer. Home made scones and cakes were at the ready, with a classy menu to suit all tastes. Well worth a visit, you will not be dissapointed, I promise.

“Very interesting, especially on the origins of fonts and typefaces”

This interesting print shop shows how newspapers and manuscripts were printed in the past. Intriguing for kids more used to typing on a computer or a smartphone,
