“Terrible diner.”
Reviewed December 31, 2012

For the starters I ordered the garlic mushrooms, they were nice apart from the whole piece of garlic I found in it but I ignored that. My wife ordered the garlic bread with cheese which came with no cheese which was terrible. Then for the main course we both had the steak but the chef must have heated the plates as they were boiling and he put the sauce on the plate which made the sauce completely frazzle and it ruined the dish, we also were not given any steak knifes and we weren't asked how we would like the steak done until 10 minutes after we ordered them. And when it came to booking in we had a 15 minute wait until we saw somebody. We also stayed over on a Saturday and there was a lot of noise coming from the bar which lead to a bad nights sleep. The breakfast was nice enough although in the morning I wanted to make myself a cup of tea the kettle did not fit into the sink which was a disappointment. But the room was very clean and decorated very nicely.

We had Sunday lunch in this hotel while passing through - great value, very relaxed atmosphere and really helpful staff. The meal itself was excellent and cooked to perfection - very enjoyable and reasonably priced. Great selection on the menu that suited all of us - we could have enjoyed any thing on the menu! A very good experience and we will be returning again shortly!

Room Tip: Didn't stay this time but was impressed with the whole set up and will stay the next time we'...

I stayedfor one night for business. The receptionist who was very welcoming also took my order for dinner and was there first thing in the morning to organise the breakfast. She is a rela asset to the hotel. The room was a double which seemed to have been moderised recently and looked lovely just some practical problems - bulb out in the side light and the kettle would not fit under the tap to get water. Saying that I had one of the best nights sleep in a hotel i have ever had as the bed was so comfy. I ate a quick dinner in the bar and the food was nice - well presented for a good price. Breakfast the next morning - the mini buffet selection could have benefited from some crossiants or danish for those not wanting a cooked breakfst which was freshly cooked and lovely. I spent a pleasant night whilst working and would stay again.

We enjoyed our visit so much in May that we returned in September with more members of the family and again received gracious and warm Irish hospitality. The Receptionist could not have been more accommodating, going out of her way to make our stay smooth and comfortable. We had three rooms: two on the ground floor and one on the first floor, with easy access for my elderly aunt via a lift. We again took advantage of the excellent value Weekend Special rates, including full cooked breakfast and a £10 evening meal voucher. We ate in the bar restaurant where meals were beautifully presented and delicious. A memorable stay in this clean, spacious and well appointed boutique hotel.

Stayed two nights in two twin rooms with my elderly aunt and two cousins on a recent family history tour of nearby Plumbridge. Excellent location with ample parking, conveniently located on main route. Wonderfully, warm welcome and we thoroughly enjoyed the food. A great, tasty selection for main meals and a hearty breakfast with attentive, friendly service from all the staff. Main meals include a wide selection of side orders, good for sharing. We stayed Saturday and Sunday and thought the weekend special was excellent value. Modern, well equipped hotel and ideal for evening relaxation and entertainment in the bar. An added bonus for us was hearing one of the original members of the Carlton Clippers sing with his family and we also enjoyed the local band. Derry is only fifteen miles away and it was a pleasant journey to Belfast International Airport through the Sperrins. A perfect stay.
