“Good set menu. Struggled to pay!”

Great little spot to eat. Especially upstairs. Lovely vaulted ceiling that looks like you're out west. The set menu for £20 was good value for money. Not often you get a rib eye steak for that price. The service was quite poor. Make sure you ask for bottles water as the water was metallic. Up in the bathroom the water coming from the tap was literally Brown!! When it came to pay it was an absolute nightmare!! The guy couldn't use a calculator! We were a large group so everyone needed to pay separately. Definitely needs some staff with experience on shift that have the knowledge to deal with guests. Food was great though so good job chef.

Not sure what this building was when this property was a country house, but Harry's bar is a find. I suppose most of the folks in the bar were staying at the hotel but the food was typical pub food but good.

Went to this Wine bar last Friday night with my husband and another couple, to use a voucher we had been bought for Christmas. Very disappointing experience, we arrived shortly before eight, and were shown into a little alcove which was tastefully decorated in a vintage style with an old black bicycle on the wall, behind my head there was a speaker with over loud music blasting out. The service we received was very poor, it took at least 35 minutes for our meal to arrive, and it was just mediocre, my husband asked for thin normal size chips with his battered chips, and was told when the meal arrived the chef had tried to pick out the smallest of the chunky chips for him, It wouldn't have been a big ask to have had the chips cut in half before cooking, the bar was not exceedingly busy at that time, as it was, they were very dry and not good. Then we had another long wait for pudding, which was, just okay. Our mains were okay and the dessert was fine, nothing special. Staff were very young, and appeared to lack a more mature and experienced person to keep things running smoother and quicker. Will not be using this restaurant any time soon, very disappointing

Only food open the night we stayed at the hotel, normally we go in to Dungannon, which we will next time! Pretty tastless, so called garic chips were soggy and not much hint of garlic. Burger was very overcooked, bread with very small smoked salmon starter was very heavy, all 5 of us agreed never again. Plus lager from barrel not good. The single member of staff tried here best to cope with a half full restaurant, with no help from the main hotel, even having to run out in rain to get us a bottle of wine.

Fire lit. Lovely ambiance good (even if young) service staff - ordered bread selection as a starter - great call!
Also had linguini starter - was then too stuffed for dessert unfortunately....
