we only visited here because by mistake really as we were on our way home from Wellbrook Beetling Mill ... so glad we stopped! What an amazingly peaceful place this is - fascinating that the stones are from the Bronze age. We were there on our own, and the silence was incredible - a rare moment of calm away from people and traffic - views of the surrounding area are super - there are a couple of information boards to tell you about the stones - this place is not obvious, and you need to look for it on a map, but the atmosphere and sense of history that you feel when there is worth the effort

This was our second trip to the stone circles. It is amazing to think of how old these places are. We have nothing like this in the US.

As atmospheric as Stonehenge but without the crowds and you can walk amongst them, pondering what the ancient stones may have meant so long ago.

My mums parents had a house nearby here and I used to play here when I was a child. I recently went back and found it a great experience if you like history etc. I might be bias but I would still say it is worth a quick visit anytime of year as the drive in the countryside is worth seeing
