“Business trip”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 13, 2013

Stayed for one night whilst over on business. Found the hotel to be clean comfortable and the staff to be very helpful and friendly. The meal I had was taken in the bar and was enjoyable and the breakfast was also good. Would certainly return as I found this hotel to be good value for money.

My husband and I eat out most Sundays. We had not been to the greenvale for ages so decided to go on Sunday evening. We arrived are were asked to wait upstairs as the dining room was very busy. We decided on mixed grill for hubby and gammon for me. We were escorted to the restaurant about 15 minutes later. The restaurant was indeed very busy in fact it was packed. Our food soon arrived and both portions were huge. My gammon was the best I have ever tasted. It was so thick and tender. Amazing. Hubby's mixed grill was big! I helped him out by having the lamb chop and some steak. Both were melt in the mouth. Even though the restaurant was so busy staff, several of them, asked if we were ok. Staff were so pleasant and professional. Well done. Unfortunately we could not order dessert as we were both full. We will be back soon. Thanks for fitting us in.

You think when you stay somewhere your car/ truck or whatever your traveling in would be safe where you were staying but not this place. Parked a B-double outside the hotel only to wake up the next morning to have lights smashed, tyres been punctured, airlines cut, A trailer had the legs let down, the pin to the back trailer removed only for the driver not to know and to take off and end up loosing the trailer. People out there in such a small town should watch what they are doing to a small community it's them who are giving it a bad name.

Being from the Cookstown area myself, I have been to the Greenvale Hotel on numerous occasions for functions, meals and nights out. I even had my wedding reception there in 2008, and it is simply the best place around in my opinion. The owner, Micky McElhatton is a gentleman who always makes you feel welcome and goes out of his way to stop for a quick chat and hello. The food is always top notch and plentiful portions cooked to your satisfaction. The rooms are nicely decorated and furnished, with very comfortable beds and the usual amenities you would expect. Having been to lots of functions in the Greenvale over the years, I have noticed that the service and quality never gets compromised. Staff are always friendly and service is excellent. I would, and have highly recommended The Greenvale to anyone who is planning a function, a meal or just in the area for a few days stay. Top Class hotel and great value, made all the better by Mickey and his staff. Worth a visit. Thanks

Room Tip: All rooms are of a high standard. Top class!

My husband, 5yr and I called in here on Saturday afternoon for lunch. We were told we could eat in the bar or restaurant. We choose the bar as it was less formal. Fantastic decor and a lovely lunch time menu. Specials were £6.95 for adults and kids £3.95. Super portions and gorgeous food. Can't wait to go back next week for our annual wedding anniversary meal, 16 yrs and counting!

Room Tip: Quality food with prices that suit all budgets!
