A fantastic museum with some brilliant exhibits inside. Lots of information available regarding everything, I have lived within 20miles of this place for all of my life but this is the first time ive visited. A very beautiful place but needs a lot of work outside. The original wooden windows are in a sorry state of repair and need extensive work The gardens are overgrown and again could be very beautiful, at the time I was there a lady commented on a pile of plants she had donated a couple of months ago, which staff were grateful to receive but they were still in the original wrapping where the lady had placed them on her previous visit at the side of the path. There is a beautiful chapel inside, if the council run museum is short of money to maintain the building why not hire the chapel out for weddings and the grounds are beautiful for photos. If the outside of the building is not repaired soon, it could be lost for ever
