I have a bit of a gripe when it comes to heritage and preserving history so wont bang on too much about that. The castle whats left of it is situated half way between Llandeilo and Carmarthen. Its location is wonderful with clear views both up the towi river and south west towards Carmarthen. There is a car park which doubles for picnic area by day and infamous dogging location come the witching hour ( for those who are interested) This is usually clean and very scenic by the river. There is no real disabled access to the castle as you have to cross a road and are confronted by quite a steep path to the top. You are rewarded with a great view though and for those of us fit enough its well worth the climb. Theres not much in the way of the castle but a medium sized board briefly explaining its history. Definatley worth a visit but for a more complete castle walk around experience Dinefwr would suit better.
