Stayed here at the Francis Hotel in Newry while over for work.
The hotel is situated on a busy main road, entrance to the hotel is through an unmarked side door, you walk through the bar area into reception. The rooms are reasonably large, first floor is non smoking, the other floors are smoking.
As you can see from the pictures the room I was in, the bed was broken on the headboard, as the hotel is on a busy road it is quite noisy throughout the day and during the night. The windows would prob be better as double glazed. The bedroom its self was in an ok condition, though could do with a fresh lick of paint etc as its a bit dowdy and doesnt feel hotel fresh clean.
The bathroom is in need of a makeover. Mould around the bath, a whole by shower head where the old one was and also the toilet was hard to flush as it was very loose. The tc reception isnt all that great.
The food menu is pretty god, there is alot of choice on the menu and a decent price.
This hotel is good for shoppers as there is 2 shopping centres, one opposite the hotel as you can see in the photo and one is behind that, just a few mins walk with a decent selection of shops.More
