Best ever new year at Canal Court, with family and friends
Food was excellent. Large comfortable beds. Hotel very central to town of Newry
Not to mention swimming pool, outdoor hot tub (in December??)
All the staff couldn't do enough for us,very friendly and most help full.
We had friends staying over from Spain, they were so delighted with hotel and are coming back
Only negative thing, as hotel was so busy, sometimes car part full and difficult to find a space. This only shows how popular hotel is, but otherwise everything was excellent
Will definitely be back

This one of the best hotels around. Good atmosphere in the bar, top quality food and a well appointed gym & pool. I even went spinning.......please avoid if you don't want to be stiff for the following 3 days. Great session

Room Tip: Never had a bad one

This is my first tim ever writing a review but I just to this time. My sisters and mum booked the shopping package for a pre Christmas treat....and a treat it was! The package included (£95 pp) one night B&B, evening meal, bottle of wine and a £50 gift voucher for Buttercrane. It was our first time staying in the Canal Court. Every member of staff we encountered, from the front desk, to the reastaurant staff to the bar staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We arrived early in the morning and although we were too early to check in we were able to register and get our voucher stratight away (there were no restrictions on the voucher - could be used in any shop in Buttercrane). The rooms were large and extremely clean and the wine was waiting in a cooler when we entered. We booked the restuarant for early evening. As we had booked a package, we expected to have to chose dinner from a set menu, which was the case but the menu had so many choices we didn't know where to start. I opted for sirloin steak (at no extra cost) - mouth watering. The portions were big and the food was very tasty. Following the meal we moved to the Granary bar in the hotel. There was quite a crowd but we had waiter service all night. As I say, we cannot fault this hotel. Everything was perfect from the staff, to the atmosphere (pianist playing Xmas songs) to the expcetional food. We stay away a night before Xmas every year but Canal Court will now be our yearly trip. I doubt we can top it!

This was my third stay in the Canal Court and as per usual all of the staff were extremely warm and friendly. I stayed in the penthouse suite which has a large living room, bedroom and bathroom with a large jacuzzi bath.

Went today as we do every year to canal court for buffet. Lunch and a shopping trip. So disappointed was served the lunch by an arrogant chef, he just piled the food on my late one item on top of one another for example meat, potatoes. Gravy, cabbage and then gravy all literally slapped together, it all appeared like something you would give a four legged animal, on top of all that he was poking at boils on his face. The waitresses were excellent the young chef needs to be spoken to never again will I eat this carvery. Sorry as I always loved the food and the hotel.

Went here with friends on a Friday night. We ate off the early evening menu. Two of us had the fish medley, so very tasty. The others had the roast dinner and the steak sandwich..both were very good.
The service was professional and attentive. The bathrooms were clean and tidy. Only one down..no wifi or indeed phone signal at the back of the hotel.
All in all excellant. Worth a visit.

Stayed here on Friday 29th as part of our Christmas night with work. We have used the hotel in the past and, although we have tried many places to change things up, we all agreed there's something that keeps dragging us back to Newry and the Canal Court. We're not sure what it is but have all come to the conclusion that the staff make this place what it is! Nothing is too much bother and they really don't mind you enjoying yourself. No wonder the bar was bunged with revellers out enjoying a good nights craic. ROM's are spacious, clean and very comfortable. Excellent venue if you want a weekend to relax and chill out.

Room Tip: All rooms seemed to be of similar standard, good!
