We just got back from our stay at le Manoir Equivocal. The place is beautiful and has very tasteful interior design on amazing grounds.
Our whole family of 5 stayed in the dovecote, our kids really wanted to stay in there and Irene made the effort to accommodate us all and made up extra beds for the 5 of us!
We were greatly welcomed and Irene helped us to reserve a table at a nearby restaurant where we had great food and wine in the evening.
We lit some candles once back and the dovecote was ever so cosy. It is set apart from the manor so has it's own privacy. It would be amazing for a romantic weekend away or honeymoon. We were also very welcomed (had our own key) in to the Manor were we could relax in front of the open fire.
The breakfast was possible the best we have ever had in a hotel/ /B&B, fresh boiled local eggs, pancakes, fresh croissants and freshly baked bread, lovely yogurt with fresh fruits to name a few, organic and a lot home produced all enjoyed in front of the open fire!
We asked Irene if we could see the rest of the manor, the big room in the main house was also really beautiful and she also has a self catering cottage which takes 12 people!
The kids loved the grounds which has a flower maze and swings set in a safe surrounding of fields.
We will definitely be back on our next trip to UK!
- Official Description (provided by the hotel):
- At the top of the hill in the hamlet of Moux sits a distinguished manor house in pink tinted stone from the fifteenth century. A huge farmyard barn, majestic stone walls, a pigeon tower and rows of crops in the fields around - the panorama swings from the Mont Blanc to the western sun and the golden vineyards right in the heart of Burgundy. ... more less
