The best fish restaurant in the UK! We've been quite a few times since stumbling across this delightful jewel of a restaurant. We consistently receive the best, friendliest service and the finest freshest fish cooked to perfection - and we just love the BYO...... don't worry if you forget to bring a bottle - the delicatessen opposite has a wonderful selection of wines. Can't wait for our next visit - the only complaint is that it's too difficult to make a choice - everything is delicious!

This is how seafood should be. The experience was great, from the quiet efficiency of the waiter, Craig, to the quality of the food produced by Gary and his Sous Chef.

If you've not tried it I would recommend the Tapas starter, a wee delight and generous portion. The fish and chips and Salmon Macallan were superb. Criticisms, well we couldn't manage a pudding :)

Keep up the good work, we'll be back.

Thanks

We have been to Fins several times recently and had great meals each time. The cold shellfish platter is spectacular, as is the trio of fish. Waiting staff are generally knowledgeable and friendly. BYOB is a bonus and saves on the final bill. The associated shop has a great range of produce and we took another platter away with us to eat the following night. Children are very well catered for with a menu designed by our waitress, a mother of young children who clearly knows what she is doing. Child size appetising portions that the small people near us wolved down. We will be back!

Very nice lunch in pleasant surroundings, friendly staff and good selection of wine to buy in the shop. Great selection of starters and mains, all served freshly cooked. Reasonably priced good sized portions. Recommended.

My husband and I ate the the catch@fins on Saturday night. The service was fantastic, with a real friendly 'can do' attitude, from the call to book to us actually being there. We were originally seated in a slightly draughty table by the door and were offered to swap to a warmer seat without having to ask. The food was great, and we were given little extra things to taste twice during our visit. They are unable at the moment to sell alcohol, but made us aware of this when booking and charged very little corkage. We were really impressed with the food, nicely cooked fish, home baked bread, home smoked fish and meats, and home made desserts. We were also really pleased with the service which hit that balance between friendly and over familiar. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend to friends!!
