“Nice welcoming local Pub/Restaurant”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 15, 2013

Living in West Kilbride, I pass through Fairlie enough times on route to Largs, and the Villege Inn was a place I had put off visiting for years, but finaly got around to it.
Really good value food in a pleasant surroundings.
We had the 2 course £9.99 deal, which usually I am not a big fan of as I always feel the portions are small and the dishes on offer pretty bland, but nothing to fear with here as you get a really great meal at a cheap price.
Plenty of drinks on offer at reasonable prices and real Ale on tap, so result!
Found the service a little bit slow between meals, but when we were in it was very busy, so I suppose can let that one go.
Will be back for sure!
Good tip to book ahead.

“Nice place for a light lunch.”

Good place to go to in the winter after a walk - feels snug and cosy. Unfortunately there is no sea view though almost in the sea.

“Local Pub/Restaurant Fairlie”

Our son took us here for lunch. It was very busy and the staff were great. Food was good with smaller portions available on some items of the menu. Clean and bright. Would recommend.

“Anniversary Lunch”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 18, 2013

Colin and I went to the Village inn in Fairlie to mark the anniversary of his transplant. The Meal was first class ,the atmosphere warm and friendly and the staff pleasant. The soup and Panini combo was more than enough to set us up for the rest of the day The Panini ( Cajun Chicken ) with a side salad was more than I could finish. and the Lentil soup was as good as any I have tasted. I will be back

“Superb Christmas Day Lunch”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 2, 2013

We chose to go out for Christmas Lunch as there were 14 of us and a baby. The menu was varied, something for everyone and the food was excellent. Turkey & trimmings for the traditional and plenty of choice for those of us who wanted something different. The service was good although perhaps a couple more staff serving or a dedicated person serving drinks would have helped (an observation, not a complaint !) The owner came round and spoke to each party after the meal which gave us a chance to comment personally. A great choice of venue, lovely food and good atmosphere.
