Like other reviewers with dogs we were pleasantly surprised by the ease with which Longlands accommodates dogs. However it seems that the usual doggy rooms are indeed the older, smaller rooms in the original Inn building. We stayed twice, en route to/from Scotland: on the return trip no such rooms were available so we were given a superior, much larger double room in the new extension. Whether that was because the mutt had behaved himself impeccably a week earlier, I cannot say.
Food (dinner and breakfast) was very good for a pub-based hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely go there again to break the M6 journey.

Stayed 2nights on a business trip.had a room in the old part. Room was spacious with a good shower. Eat in the bar both nights, good quality pub grub. Breakfast was not served until 07:30, a bit late for an early start

We (4 adults) stopped in here a couple of times during a recent stay in the region. Very nice, comfortable decor and friendly staff.
The food was very good, especially the pizza, although one of the party did have an issue with their food which was acknowledged but nothing was done about it which was frustrating. Good selection & quite unusual choices.
We visited a second time but just for a drink.
If I were in the area again I would visit some more.

First of all a huge thank you to Alex who gets 11 out of 10 for customer service!!!!
All members of staff that we met, were welcoming, cheery and service was 1st Class.
We stayed in a fabulous cottage which had been beautifully renovated, with a nice modern bathroom. The rooms are spacious and tastefully decorated and the galleried upstairs gives a feeling of light and airy accommodation. It was a nice touch to see hanging baskets and window boxes and a pleasant surprise to have patio windows from the ground floor double bedroom leading to a grassed patio with table and chairs. Then literally just at the end of the row of cottages is a delightful picturesque Marina ..... what more could you ask for?
Breakfast was excellent and all fresh produce.
We had traveled from down south for a 90th birthday and have to say had not expected to find this 'little gem' of a hotel, so close to the motorway exit but far enough to be in completely rural surroundings.
We would certainly stay again and would highly recommend any one looking for excellent service and accommodation to give this hidden gem a try.
Once again many thanks to Alex.

Room Tip: Cannot go wrong with a cottage !!!

Came across this delightful hotel when we were looking for a stopover. It ticked all the boxes : friendly staff, clean and comfortable bedrooms, tasty food and great value for money. The location is perfect- just 5 minutes from the motorway. I would highly recommend. Looking forward to our next visit when we will try one of their cottages. Fuel in Camforth is much cheaper than motorway service stations.
