Where should I begin to share a perfect Saturday evening in Kapalua?A new moon reflecting off the water, no less than three newlywed couples swept away in the arms of each other at sunset off the expansive lanai jetting into the turquoise water... Truly a paradise setting but that is just the start to the magic. My husband and I had course after course of the most magnificent tastes from our coconut foam topped cocktails to sashimi and poke appetizers that melted in our mouths. We then feasted the super fresh garden salad with compressed pineapple that tasted like nuggets of pure gold. My husband had the rib eye steak that is was sure had been hand-rubbed throughout its life because the texture was heavenly. I had the monchung and paired with the taro cakes and seasonal veggies that completely satisfied by aloha spirit of local flavors. We were so over the top full that we couldn't imagine another bite but found such charm in our waiter that we shared a French Press carafe of Mokka coffee, an island speciality brew that was dark, delicious with a hint of chocolate. We leisurely spent three hours filling our senses with the spectacular sights, friendly atmosphere and aloha lounge music playing just behind us.
