“The only place I stay in Truro”
Reviewed July 1, 2014

I have stayed here maybe 6 times over the last year.
Always good, The restaurant is very good and reasonably priced.
The rooms are clean and comfortable and the staff are helpful and friendly. There is no lift so if stairs are a problem ask for aa low floor room otherwise I always ask for aroom on the top floor for the views and the air conditioning.

Room Tip: The top floor is quiet if you dont mind a couple of short flights of stairs

Drinks voucher was a nice touch and ate in the restaurant which was good food at a reasonable price. would happily stay at again if in the area

I stayed at this hotel as part of a Wedding Party this last weekend. We couldn't have been looked after better. From the moment we checked in we felt as if we were part of the family. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff. Our room was on the 2nd floor and was very spacious, which was great as we had lots of people coming and going throughout the 3 days we were there, we were 11 in our party! The beds were very comfortable, tea and coffee making facilities in the room along with Ipod docking station, hairdryer and lovely soft towels. The Housekeepers evener came and knocked on our door on the day of the wedding to make sure we had enough towels etc.The restaurant made sure we all sat together at breakfast, we were more than happy with the continental breakfast a lot of selection, a few people had the cooked breakfast which was huge. The bar and restaurant are very nice and were very busy, you might find that you need to book the restaurant. The position of the hotel is brilliant, you couldn't be more central, a short taxi ride from the station, all organised by reception. A truly lovely experience and would thoroughly recommend it to anyone.
The comments about the sea gulls, yes they are a nuisance early in the morning, put your head under the pillows and go back to sleep, we did. !

Room Tip: The top floor rooms are all newly refurbished and luxurious, we didn't have one but were given a...

we booked an apartment which are located behind the hotel with a secure gated car park. were allowed to check in early and were impressed by the quality of the room and facilities. It even had a coffee machine & a dishwasher, we dint really get the full use as our stay was only 1 night but would have been great if staying longer.
Had a good night sleep, very quiet over looking the cathedral.
Breakfast was served between 8-10. you only get a continental but can pay to upgrade. however, we found it was enough as had eaten out the night before. There is a choice of croissants, yoghurt, cereal, toast, tea, coffee, juice. we liked the small jars of sauces & jams provided on the table. Staff were very friendly & helpful & even though we were local to the area they were eager to provide information.
A warning about bird pooh though! My car was covered although there is a hose pipe and sponge outside the apartments so this is obviously an on-going issue!!!

Room Tip: apartments are well worth the extra money

Last minute stop at Mannings. Stayed in the hotel and not the mews rooms this time. Excellent room and facilities. Staff so helpful and friendly. Food was really good and we met some lovely Americans who were over for the D Day memorial. Cannot fault this hotel. Will definitely be back...hopefully for a longer stay.

Thanks for lovely stay.

Mike and Louise

Room Tip: any of them!! for really quiet rooms I would choose the annexe suites.

Clean comfortable rooms in a convenient location in town. Room well equipped (iPod docks/TV/tea making) and nicely furnished. Would probably benefit from a bathroom update in rooms. Beds very comfy and quiet at night despite central location. Would return.

I stopped at Mannings for 2 nights on Business.
Great hotel situated in centre of town amongst all the shops and close to the Cathedral.
Hotel has own car park to side with security.
The room was large and modern with a great shower.
my bead was really comfortable, very important to me.
Restaurant offers a good range of food and the staff really helpful.
Wifi available all over the hotel.
i will definately be returning for a leisure break.
Just up the road is a great little artizan baker well worth a visit for bread to take home.
The only down side to the hotel was there is no lift so I had to climb 3 flights of stairs. Bear this in mind if you have loads of luggage, however there is a poter service available
I highly recommed staying here.

Room Tip: No lift to higher floors.
