This is my fourth visit here. The rooms are clean, functional and ample sized. The staff are friendly and welcoming. Breakfast is a continental buffet unless you pay extra but there is plenty. The restaurant food was straight forward but done right. Nothing flashy but good fayre.

Room Tip: Try getting up-graded to an apartment if you're down off-season.

Whoever is responsible for the flowers in Truro deserves a big bunch themselves - every roundabout was a picture and this continued into the city which is festooned with generously planted hanging baskets and troughs throughout - I thought it was charming. Anyway - on to Mannings. We only stayed one night, but would definitely return. The (standard) room was a little small, but it was clean, stylishly decorated in neutrals and had everything we wanted - ensuite, coffee tray, a cooling fan, tv - even an iron and ironing board for last minute freshening up of creased linen. Chilled bottled water was available from the cosy residents lounge which also had free wifi and access to PCs. Our room faced onto the street, but even with the double glazed windows ajar due to the hot weather, neither of us was that bothered by noise. The bar is modern and was buzzing on Saturday night with couples, families - a real mixture. Nice cocktails. We had dinner out; continental breakfast was unremarkable, but nothing wrong with it. Staff were pleasant, immaculately turned out and very helpful. We will go back.

This hotel was recommended to us by a friend when we visited Truro for a wedding recently.
We were not disappointed, the rooms were spacious and very clean. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We had an evening meal in the restaurant which was superb. We will definately stay here the next time we are in Truro

I stayed in Mannings throughout July over three different long stays and the service was excellent.
The rooms are well presented and spacious, and vary in character due to the age of the building. The bathrooms are clean and comfortable, and tea and coffee facilities are refreshed daily as well as the room being turned down.
All staff were friendly, polite and helpful, and dealt with any issues swiftly and professionally.
The hotel is in the heart of Truro with many shops and good transport links. The 'dawn chorus' of seagulls is a noisy but lovely reminder of the beautiful part of the country you are visiting!
The food was superb, all freshly prepared and as a lone diner I was made to feel at home and welcome.

Room Tip: You do get a little noise on rooms facing the busy Lemon Street as to be expected in a city hotel. R...

We spent 5 days in Truro at Mannings appartments. The 3/5 rate we have given is the average of highs and lows:

SERVICE: 5 - great staff and impeccable cleaning.

LOCATION: 5 - perfectly located in the centre of Truro

ENVIRONMENT: 2 - access to the appartment via a parking lot, which was also the view from the French balcony.

BEDROOM: 4 - comfortable bed

APPARTMENT: 4 - we had a top floor appartment, spacy and well planned. Nice kitchen.

INTERIOR DESIGN: 1 - when you rent an appartment you expect to have a sofa or an armchair to relax in,but the furniture felt like something designed for a NHS waiting room. We really couldn´t imagine worse furniture.

VALUE FOR MONEY: 4

We make his a must on our regular shopping trips to Truro. Never been disappointed with food or service. Very modern Restauant and Bar with great old fashioned values for customer service. Value excellent and the men a joy.

Stayed here with Hubby for a couple of days break earlier this week. Very nicely located hotel with gated car park. Lovely looking, old but modernised Hotel. Our room was 20 (on 2nd Floor) good size in modern style. Bathroom very small but just adequate; no grab rail for getting out of bath/shower (important for older folks). My main concern was with this room being so hot it was nigh impossible to sleep. We did of course turn off the heating radiator and open the window fully as possible. Added to that we asked for a fan and still it was unbearably hot at night. I took out the Duvet from the cover so we just had a sheet and had the fan on us all night but it was still very hot and uncomfortable and very hard to get any sleep. I understand the 3rd floor has air-conditioning so I would only recommend this hotel if you could get these rooms. Remember too, there is no lift in this hotel which for older folk could be a problem. Had a few drinks in the Bar which was very pleasant but didn't use the restaurant other than for breakfast which was very nice. Staff all very pleasant. Truro is a lovely little Town with some great shops its just a shame the hotel didn't leave me with a better feeling.

Room Tip: Make sure you choose air-conditioned room but remember you will have to climb to third floor as no...
