We booked this purely because it was the cheapest four poster bed in the area, so very glad we did !
All the furniture was mahoganey not the cookie cutter hotel fare, the bed was amazing and covered in plush velvets. The whole room had the wow factor, right down to the huge whittard's cups and twinnings tea.
The bathroom was a little dated, but on the plus side meant the bath was extra big, handy with a partner who is 6"8. However the wall mounted plasma was definately up to date.
What really makes this place though is the owner, the kitchen is open 24-7 for your use. Bring back a take out, wine, use the fridge and there is plenty of home away from home foods to help yourself too. The sweetest thing, she bakes a cake each day which is also free to eat for all ( sent boyf down each morning to get me a huge bit before it went).
There is also a quiet yet cute garden out the back, with seating and tables so on none rainy days you can have a glass in the moonlight.
Overall, great location, lovely lady and horrendously underpriced ^_^More
