Very clean, very quiet, nice bed, good breakfast and a good shower. Lovely views out of the bedroom window.
However the hosts weren't the friendliest people in the world. We turned up in the rain (without a car) granted 1 hour early at 3:00 rather than at 4:00. We went to what looked like the front door of the house to get told from behind the door to go to the next door, we went to the next door which got opened ajar and we were then told to walk around the house to the back. All of this in the pouring rain. We went round the back and finally got let in to a wooden floored hallway opposite the door we were refused entry at. A very Basil Fawlty moment indeed. One of those memories you'll keep with you and tell your kids about one day.
When we got in we were reminded that we were an hour early but were told "seeing that it was raining" that we could go to our room. In the room there's a big sign reminding guests that this is a B&B not a guest-house where guests are expected to be off premises from 10:00am to 4:00pm.
I will say that Graham was much friendlier than Bridget, and things did get less frosty from that initial point on-wards, but still it did rather put a strain on the whole stay.
Another minor criticism is that the place is very difficult to find and is not sign-posted from the road. If it wasn't for a very friendly lady bar-person in the local pub we would never have found the place at all.
