Restaurant is more like a cafe which was disappointing after visiting other Ask Restaurants. Also the kitchen is at one end and if you are seated at the end of the cafe you are just blown away with all the cooking smells which isn't really ideal.
The food is well presented and nice but the portions are poor. My 12 year old son eat a full 2 course adult meal and was still hungry so you can guess what the adults felt like at the end of their meal. Basically portions great if you are on a diet or about aged 5. Prices of the food would be ok if the portions were bigger - like double the size - otherwise well over priced.
The drinks are also pricey - like over £6.00 for a large bottle of beer.
Sorry Ask but I'm afraid it's poor value and the venue was ok at best.

Went here for a couple of pizzas and a drink, can't fault the food or service, the manger that day (Friday evening, female manager) there was a snooty couple next to us, who complained about everything while we were sat on the table next to them, and the manager couldn't do enough for them, all pizza chains are very similar but this has a good location and is always busy and for a good reason. Will be returning at some point.

We fancied Italian and a couple of beers on a Tuesday night in Truro, after a hectic day doing the holidaying bit.
We had a table given to us straight away, no need to book mid-week.
We were seated and ordered our drinks which arrived quickly. The starters were ordered and came along in good time. Excellent quality.
The main course arrived in a longer than expected time, though this was no problem. It gave us a chance to get a couple more drinks in and chat to the couple on the next table.
The quality of the main courses were again excellent.
I think that the decoration/furniture is a little basic, however, that is to be expected in these group outlets. The place was functional, the staff were great, hard working, and willing to see to our requirements.
A good basic eaterie with quality food, freshly made. Nice one!

When we went in a few tables hadn't been cleared and where we were seated in the benches was covered in crumbs. It just looked a bit grubby, like the staff weren't on top of service. The food however was great we both really enjoyed our food. I had a lobster pasta dish which was gorgeous. Would definitely come back, as they may have just been short staffed!

A group of us having a few days in Truro ate here. We found the food and service to be good, however the experience was tainted by screaming children and babies that seemed to be everywhere. I appreciate that this is not the fault of the restaurant, but feel other diners should be pre warned that it doubles as a crèche at certain hours.
