“A lovely place to unwind”
Reviewed September 8, 2013

What an enjoyable stay we had last week at Chycara House. So peaceful and we had such lovely weather. David & Linda are so kind, we needed help when the battery on our car went flat. nothing is too much trouble for them. Arrive as strangers and leave as friends is really what sums them up. Would not hesitate in recommending it. Follow David's instructions to find them and you cannot get lost.

Absolutely loved our time at Chycara House David and Linda went out of their way to make our stay as pleasant as possible. The property is amazing and I have no hesitation in recommending it. I will make a point of staying there again if i return to Cornwall .

Room Tip: All good.Rooms all have good views.

Really enjoyed our stay and will definitely will be returning. We needed a stopover whilst delivering a student nearby and this was a treat for Mum and Dad too. Peaceful, pleasant, food excellent, David and Linda charming. The only thing that could have improved our stay would have been the opportunity to have a table to breakfast separately from other guests. Do enough small talk at work and is nice to have a break from it :) and the WIfI wasn't that good either. We had no mobile signal here with Virgin/ Orange but that isn't always a bad thing.

The location was brilliant for both Truro and Falmouth .The house is gorgeous and so are the grounds. Beautifully maintained but nice also to see " wild" areas too. Lovely place and highly recommended by us.

Room Tip: We had a twin room and there was a litle noise from other rooms but nothing after midnight and very...

We stayed here during our road trip for our 4 year anniversary, wasn't difficult to find as is located on google maps, and used this entirely for our navigation, although they do send directions for you, the pictures do not do this wonderful place justice, the grounds themselves are difficult to describe because we found them so wonderful, we arrived roughly around seven pm, we parked up and went inside where we were greeted with a pot of tea and a friendly hello, after we had checked in we were pointed towards a local pub to get THE BEST STEAK I have ever had, on the way back it was dark and the sat nav took us in a very strange route back to the house, but it was such a joy to be able to drive those country roads on my own, didn't see a single car the whole journey (although plenty of wildlife play chicken on those roads) so watch your speed or you might hit something we got back and walked around the grounds using the touches they supplied us with, where were we join by Tom the ginger car they have, which followed us and stayed with us while we enjoyed our walk under the stars, afterwards we went back to our room and enjoyed a much needed rest.

The next day we had breakfast in a lovely dinning room. And enquired about staying another night, unfortunately (ask we guessed) they we fully booked, next time we will stay longer without a shadow of a doubt!

Many thanks

Eamonn and Marlene

We stayed 1 night with another couple, received a very warm welcome on arrival. After settling into a very clean comfortable room,we enjoyed a cup of tea in the courtyard then went for a lovely stroll through extensive gardens. We sat and read before going out to dinner at a local pub. Was a lovely place to unwind as we had been very busy for previous week. Breakfast was delicious, there were at least 6-7 choices for hot meal and usual cereals, yoghurt and fruit. We had our own sitting room to have a night cap in before bed. Would highly recommend to family and friends. Would love to come back and spend longer here.

Great place to relax, very comfortable, home from home feeling, great facilities, beautiful place in the middle of nature, all green surroundings are spectacular, best place to be with young kids, kids loved it so much and the swimming pool is awesome. Very well located to drive to the beach and all attractions in Cornwall. Will definitely visit again.
