Amazing garden and pool area.
Loved the lobby, the terrace the drinks.
Few, well behaved children (no screaming kids around).

Breakfast and dinner buffet (half board) with big variety but nothing special. Ok for a hotel of this size.
Desert however was disappointing, has to be improved.
Coffee as well.

Didn't like the fact that you have to pay extra for the safe. Reminded me of Ryanair.

Firstly I would say this is a beautiful hotel with lush gardens and pool area. Fabulous infinity pool although all pools were very cold. Food and service both good. However the small things that frustrate me for a hotel of this class are the following : you are charged to use the room safe, the “free” WiFi is useless and anyone with teenagers would know that this is an essential so you have to purchase the WiFi and lastly you are charged to change your pool towels. Whilst none of these charges are huge I would rather pay slightly more for more holiday so that it is all included and I am not met with further unexpected expense.

Just returned from a week with my 11 year old son and husband. Great hotel and facilities. Beautiful gardens and plenty of quiet shady areas for sitting/lounging. Several pools meant lots choice and all offering something a bit different (quiet pool, large infinity pool with man made 'beach', kids pool). Reserving sunbeds not allowed between 8-10am, which is great (they remove towels reserved and left unattended during this time). 1 EURO to change towels daily also OK, especially when it saves on environment damage (if this is what it actually contributes to). Hotel prices were very reasonable too; great cocktails (cheaper than outside) and cheaply priced, and large on-site supermarket were a surprise and a great bonus. We also used on-site mini-golf and tennis (astro turf) and liked both of these. Didn't use day entertainment as we were so relaxed, we didn't need it. Evening entertainment a bit poorer, some OK and some a bit poor for such a large hotel, but we didn't really mind this. Buffet breakfast and dinner gets very busy, but the up side is the food is always fresh and a good choice (we went in half term and I imagine very busy indeed in peak season) Overall, great hotel, facilities and experience -we would recommend and return again.

Dear Mr. Katie3434,

Thousands of visitors stay with us each year, but we still feel as happy as the first day when a client lets us know that their time in the hotel was satisfactory. We would like to thank you for the trust that you placed in us. We hope that there are still some corners of Gran Canaria for you to discover and that you do so together with us again.

With kind regards,

The hotel is a vast complex with an almost continuous stream of guests checking in and out. The hotel is uber clean and the facilities are extensive and very well maintained. However it lacked the "X" factor and the holiday experience was, on the whole, flat. I think it was because the hotel is so big that it felt more like a process than a holiday. The surrounding area outside the hotel was just as sterile, the shops and restaurants were homogeneous and bland. No Spanish passion here.

Room tip: A huge hotel, if you have any mobility issues get a room near to the dinning areas/elevators

We enjoyed an 11 night stay at The Lopesan Costa Meloneras hotel on a bed and breakfast basis. On arrival we were greeted by friendly and efficient reception staff who gave us all the information we needed on the hotel.

Our room was in block 7 and overlooked the mini golf course. Our only criticism was that we were given quite vague directions to our room and then spent 20 minutes trying to locate the room. We spoke to other guests who had also had initial problems trawling the corridors trying to find their room. It would have been nice if someone could escort you to your room, especially when it is your first visit. Having said that we soon found our way around hotel.

Breakfast is amazing with every type of fresh fruit you could want - bananas, nectarines, peaches, melon, grapes, pineapple etc. Assorted yoghurts, smoothies, freshly cooked eggs, omelettes, bacon, sausage, tomatoes, beans. Cold meats, cheeses, smoked salmon, olives. Freshly cooked pancakes, croissants, and other warm pastries. Lots of different breads and jams. The list is endless.

We had a standard room which was large with 2 double wardrobes with shelving, a large bathroom with bath and shower over and also a separate shower. The beds were very comfortable. We had a large balcony with table and chairs. Unfortunately we didn't get the sun on our balcony during the day but enjoyed sitting out on the balcony in the evenings.

The gardens of the hotel are amazing with huge areas for sunbathing and no feeling of being cramped together. The infinity pool is amazing. Pool towels were provided on arrival with a useful large bag with the hotels name on which was ideal for carrying your towels and sun creams etc. Replacement towels are charged at €1 each, the proceeds being donated to an overseas children's charity.

There are numerous restaurants just a short stroll from the hotel, along with designer shops.

We are already planning our next year's holiday to Meloneras and will certainly be returning to this lovely hotel. Next time We shall upgrade to a room with a pool or garden view which will hopefully get the sun.

Thank you to all hotel staff for a great holiday experience.
