My boyfriend and I came on holiday here for one week, it was our first holiday together and it was truly amazing. The infinity pool was the main reason we decided to come here as we seen it in a brochure and I fell in love with it! We got there and found even more swimming pools, which was lovely! We used the spa on one of the days and loved it - especially the 'womb room' I would certainly reccomend using the spa facilities when you are there! The staff were very friendly, and althought the hotel was very busy the staff were able to remember us during the week which I found very nice. We stayed half board so had breakfast and dinner. The variety of foods there could not be faulted, they also had BBQ's on one night! We didn't stay for any evening entertainment, however we found plenty of places to drink just down the road and also a moonlight cinema which was lovely! The location was brilliant, with the beach just behind us, shops bnearby. Palmitos Park (definitley somewhere to go!!) and Aqualand were only 10/15 minutes drive away. The rooms were very clean, the staff very friendly. The hotel was VERY big, in the week that we were there I don't think we managed to see everything in the hotel! But that is by no means a complaint, we liked that about it. The hotel grounds were kept very clean at all times. We have already recommended it to friends and will certainly be returning in future - will have to be for longer next time though!

So having come back from holidaying in Gran Canaria it's time for a review of the hotel... and what a hotel!
Booked an upgraded room for the extra space and it certainly helped, nothing worse than being all cramped up. Everything was spotless in the room just a couple of things you have to pay for use of the safe which considering the quality of the rest of the hotel is a little on the harsh side and also no in-room tea/coffee making facilities. Having to wait until breakfast for your morning cupper was slightly annoying but those are the only bad things I have to say about the hotel.
Main restaurants were the ususal buffet selections and you've really got to get there early to sit outside. Food was of a good enough quality and was regularly topped up or cooked infront of you. Would recommend using the special offer in the Ambassador restaurant if on half-board, being waited on is definitely something you miss in the regular restaurants and the food was absolutely wonderful so much so we went there twice!
For lunch there are quite a few cafe/bars dotted about doing pizzas, sandwiches and salads which we found to be not that expensive and again of good quality.
Evening entertainment was the usual collection of magicians, singers and acrobatic acts along with the house-band. Bar prices again were pretty reasonable compared to those outside the hotel.
The pools were excellent and we never had any problems finding sun beds to lounge around on. Generally around the lazy river was a good bet and also up top on the Solarium.
Outside of the hotel there's a good selection of both high-end and middling priced restaurants and bars. If you're facing the "infinity" pool go to the restaurant on the left which is sort of attached to the hotel but you've got to go out to go in. It's also not that far into Maspalomas central and the taxis are very cheap compared to British ones. The beach which is just behind the lighthouse is very good and the cost of sunbeds was again reasonable (€7.50 for two beds and a parasol)
We used the room card as payment for everything whilst in the hotel which is an excellent idea as it meant not having to carry around cash with you plus the end bill ended up being less than we thought it was so that was a bonus!
Would recommend to pretty much everyone, couples and families as from the explore about the hotel there was a pretty good looking kids club area.

Great Hotel and location at one of the better resorts on the Island. Grounds are large and excellently maintained with 4 different pools. The large one is an infinity which looks like you're swimming in the sea. Brilliant facilities, including the gym. Good buffet food but you must try their a la carte Ambassador restaraunt. On half board, meal was only 20 Euro pp. One of the best meals I've had. Very Large hotel making it a little impersonal, but some people enjoy that anonymity. Nevertheless all staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Great and beautiful grounds which are well maintained, rooms, hotel and grounds were kept immaculately clean. There was a little sun bed reserving but I've stayed in places that are a lot worse. Having said that there were plenty of beds and I always found one at whatever time of day I went to the pools. Certainly worth its 4 stars and at the top end of that rating.

This hotel is lovely with stunning gardens and pools.Staff are friendly and helpfull.Food excellent at breakfast only stayed bed and breakfast did not eat other meals so cant comment. This hotel is in one of the best areas of the island .Evening entertainment ok if a little cheesy.

Room Tip: High floor near reception as this hotel is so large its easy to get lost.
