First time to this hotel and we are certain we will be back next year . Hotel management staff excellant. The hotel itself is very well designed with all the entertainment at night in the square- you feel you are in a little town.Bar staff are very friendly especially Vanessa and Isobel their full attention at all times. We had a lovely room near the Panchi kids club no noise.(loved the walk in wardrope). The pool area was fantastic loads of sun beds.Aquagym was very good at twelve everyday Monday-Friday.Food was excellant in the Plaza restaurant we ate there all the time great variety of food. The area itself is beautiful shops are expensive but that is what you get when you go to a five star area.

We had a great week at the Villa del Conde. Loved the hotel and the buffet breakfasts really are as good as everybody says. The location is great with lots of shops and restaurants within a 15-20 minute walk from the hotel. We ate the dinner buffet twice and ate out the other nights - make sure you try both buffets if you eat in as they are slightly different.

Room Tip: We asked for a quiet room on a high floor and were rewarded with a lovely view over the gardens look...

This is our third time to visit this fabulous hotel, and I am certain we will be back again. Everything is just so consistently good - the restaurants, the accommodation, the staff, the facilities, the entertainment - you get the idea.
We love it, and were particularly impressed that Daniel, a member of the Management staff, remembered us from our previous visit in 2006.
They know what the customer wants here, and they do it with excellent results.
We will be back!

Room Tip: My one small gripe, which is common throughout reviews, is the noise from adjoining rooms. We were...

My husband, 13 yr old daughter and myself went back to Villa Del Conde for our 3rd time in August and all I can say it was as fantastic as the previous two times (2006 and 2007)

For anyone reading the previous negative reviews, please do not be put off by their small minded comments!!! No hotel offers soundproof rooms and I have stayed in many 5* hotels all over the world. Cockroaches.......it's a hot country, it's gonna happen but you can not fault the cleanleness of the hotel. It really is spotless. This really is a beautiful hotel and you could not want for a better holiday.

Hotel cleanliness, staff, food, rooms, pools are all excellent and could not be faulted. Maspalomas itself is a beautiful area and is very clean, safe and offeres a wide selection of shops and restaurants. I would be happy to stroll along the seafront with my daughter at night without worrying!

The hotel staff all work so very hard and if you make an effort to be polite and get to know them throughout your stay they make sure that you are well looked after. Nothing is too much trouble even when they are so very busy!

The food is top class with a huge selection every night even for the most fussy of eaters, there will always be something to tempt you.
There are 2 dinner sessions, we always opted for the 8.15 as it tended to not have so many small children around as they all ate early so they could go the the mini disco!!! Watch out for Panche as he makes a regular appearance most breakfast and dinner time much to my 13 yr old daughters horror!!!

The hotel is big but disigned in a way that it looks like a village, there are no massive highrise blocks of accomodation, take the time to explore the hotel as there are lots of hidden surprises.

I had a fantastic holiday here and am already looking to book for next year and take my daughters friend (not many English at the hotel but this can be a good sign of quality!) and my 81 yr old mother!!

Don't hesitate if you are thinking of booking, you will have a fantastic time.

Enjoy!

We just came from our week stay in this hotel and it was really frustration for us to see how such a nice hotel is put down every day by horrible service!
PROS:
- Nice and spacious rooms (huge bathroom, walk-in dress room is really a nice surprise)
- Beautiful pools
- All the hotel is kept clean (room, pools, restaurants…)
- Wide selection of various food in buffet breakfast and dinner
CONS:
- you really can here EVERYTHING from the next room (see previous reports)
Service, service service…the hotel staff and management have no idea how the service in 5star hotel should look like! Just see some examples….
- Check- in looks like this: our car dropped us in front of the hotel in 7:30 morning and…there was simply nobody…nobody to invite you, to help you with your luggage, to open the door. The hotel looked like closed. So we took all our luggage and went to reception and…there was again NOBODY…after like 10 min waiting there appeared one ugly lady who mumbled “buenos dias”, took our hotel voucher and passports and started do paper work..without any saying “welcome to the hotel”…simply NOTHING. (you can absolutely forget any welcome drink or refresh towels which you expect in 5star hotel) After some time she told us “you are lucky, your room is ready” and gave us our cards and within 1 minute explained us everything about the hotel with mad drawings to hotel ground plan. I just checked if the room is really with sea view as we paid and she answered NO! She claimed that even it is written on our hotel vouchers, it does not guarantee we have to get it (!!!) and we are supposed to solve remuneration with our travel agent after we came back from holiday as the hotel is overbooked and do not have any sea view room! As I strictly refused this solution, she very ugly told us to go for breakfast and come back in 8:30 when the manager will come. So we went for breakfast and after 5 minutes the lady called me on my mobile that the sea view room is ready for us in 14:00 !!! Suddenly it was possible without a manager? Nobody explained us what it happened; nobody apologized for that big mass.
- Restaurant during breakfast and dinner: the staff tries to do their best, but its obvious that there is no so many waitress as needed. As a result of this you still struggle with used plates on our table which nobody take cares. There are managers standing and going around but they just smiling and do not help at all. The overall feeling is that even the staff work very hard they are not supported by managers so there is just a chaos around.
- Poll bar service: there is a pool bar, but it happened just twice a week than we saw a waiter going around the pools and offering drinks to order (we spent most of our time by pool). You can forget to get some refresh towels or ice cream or water for free as in many luxury resorts, but even if you want to buy it, you have to go to pool bar and bring it yourself.
One funny remark: it happened one day that the service was absolutely perfect from morning to evening. We could not believe such a change in staff behavior just we got an answer after the dinner when hostesses came to restaurant a started to spread questionnaires...it was a Control Day in the hotel!!
It means that they really now how to treat their guests, they are not just motivated to do it! Simply they do not care…so here is my message for hotel management: I do not care for you next time! This was definitely our first and last stay!

Room Tip: Rooms are not sound proof at all. Try to get a room on top floor!

Spent a week in a four star in Playa de Ingles then moved here for the second week of our hols. What a difference a star makes. You cannot fail to be impressed with the lobby, the reception staff were very polite and helpful and the free glass of champagne and orange for the children was welcome. The room was spacious and very clean, we were in the area next to the infinity pool on the ground floor not pool facing however with a small garden to the rear, we found this to be ideal as it was very secluded and not overlooked unlike the rooms facing the pools. We were B&B so we ate out most nights. For meals we visited the Lopasan parade of restaurants about 10 mins slow walk away, this area catered for a variety of tastes including Mexican, Japanese Chinese and Spanish. On the last night we had a meal in the Ovo restaurant sitting outside and listening to the entertainment in the plaza area, we thought it was going to be expensive so we left it until the last night however it was not, and the food was very well cooked and presented, wish we had visited it earlier. We enquired about late check out it was approx 40 Euros so we put the bags in secure storage and sat by the pool until 4pm.All in all a very nice hotel would go back to Lopasan if they had one in Fuerteventura (beaches less packed and sea much clearer). Tip: Pack your Ralph Lauren shirts they seemed compulsery.

Inside the hotel there is an outstanding central square, cobbled with quarried stone and surrounded by architectural pearls from the island. Leisure activities are organised in this area, between charming terraces, fountains, lush gardens, refreshing pools and marvellous ocean views. The hotel’s extensive garden area hosts a wide range of subtropical and indigenous plants, as well as the magnificent pool area including five pools (one of them with salt water and three of them heatable in winter), three jacuzzis, a pool for children (heated in winter) and an artificial beach, as well as several terraces with sunbeds and sunshades.
