One of the reviews spoke about Uncle Tom's Cabin cafe but that's at Shoebury Common Beach, not here at East Beach.
Dogs can go on the beach itself, except from May to September. But they can enjoy the surrounding park area all year round.
Nearby in the High Street are a couple of corner shops, a bakers (Denis the baker) and a restaurant (Shoeburyness Hotel). And in nearby Ness Road there's a Wimpy, Dominos pizza and some other cafes.
It can get very busy during the summer holidays. But why wait until the summer to visit. It's a great place to get some fresh air, a stretch of the legs and sea views.
