Never hear of the Emerald, found it by chance, and were simply charmed by every aspect of this little tucked away restaurant located on a hill with the most stunning view over the mediterranean I have seen for a while. The menu is small, but divine. We tried their tasting menu, which includes 6 courses and 6 wines which are matched with the dishes. Mouth wateringly good. I love my food and I found my self in flovour heaven. Such a shame we have to leave. The couple who run this restaurant only open in the summer,work in the swiss alps for the winter, taking care of a chalet in Zermatt(www.mountainexposure.com) I will go and find them this winter, simply to treat my tast buds, while I wait for the summer to return. We will be back next year and stay in the Emerald hotel so we can taste the rest. If you are in the region(Chania, Kalives,Almyrida even Rethimno) I strongly recommend you make the small effort to find this Gewl
