It has just become a normal cor[porate bland pub when it used to shine as a bright gem...

Just average...

It is a chef and brewer so you know what to expect food wise. The setting is great, the service can vary, the atmosphere is good and I would recomend it for a night out.

Here with mum for lunch, sat in beer garden so didn't receive "proper" restaurant service... However...
The (duty) manager behind bar kindly provided comfy cushions for me to take outside for mum to sit on as she wanted to be outside but finds wooden furniture uncomfortable.
Waitress provided minimal service as we were outside, but when served us, was friendly and efficient.
We shared a fish platter for two (salmon, prawns, mackerel and crab) and it was delicious and very good value.
For a lovely relaxing afternoon in the sun with nibbles and a beer, I will return, and happily recommend and bring friends.

Excellent summer night out. Sat outside in the large terraced garden. We ordered the Seafood platter - selection of smoked salmon, prawns, whitebait, smoked mackerel pâté and marinated sardines, Marie Rose sauce and bread it very nice and good value, Splendid fish dishes not your usual pub food! The real ales is good to, service was good, the friendly staff made us very welcome. Daresbury is the birthplace of Lewis Carroll who wrote 'Alice in Wonderland'. We had a great time .I would recommend the Ring O Bells to anyone
