“a warm welcome, friendly staff”
Reviewed January 30, 2014

My sister and I arrived to a warm welcome from the friendly reception staff , checked in quickly with directions to our room and a voucher for afternoon tea.id bought a voucher off kgb deals for 2 people with afternoon tea , evening carvery, bed breakfast and a 25 min treatment in the spa, all for£89 for the 2 of us .we could not fault the Darsbury park hotel, lovely food and nice warm room, the decor is a little in need of touching up but it did not spoil our stay, the pool, sauna were very good and relaxing and the indian head massage was lovely too, I bought 2 voucher s as im going back on the 8th of feb with my daughter , looking foward to it, I would definitely book again , thankyou the Darsbury park hotel for a lovely relaxing stay

Stayed on a groupon offer, had afternoon tea, used the pool, had a massage,( which was lovely ), evening meal and breakfast. It seems more of a business hotel to us but we enjoyed it and made the most of it. A few things could be improved, but for what we paid it was excellent value and could not complain. Handy for a visit to Cheshire oaks shopping centre which was worth the visit.

Me and my partner stayed here for one night a few weeks ago; it's a shame about the hotel because it had it's very good points; the staff were helpful, the food was lovely and the spa/pool facilities were great ... However the room we stayed in was awful, there were wires hanging out of the wall right by the kettle! There was wallpaper coming off the walls and damp patches on the ceiling, we also barely got any sleep because the radiator was rattling all night!

I would stay again sometime because the hotel itself is good, it just let its self down with the state of the bedrooms.

Just returned from a one night Wowcher deal. We paid £35 for bed and breakfast with a free bottle of wine and use of the leisure facilities. Yes, some of the furniture was a bit dated but we had absolutely no problems with cleanliness. The room was ready when we arrived and was neat and tidy. Bed was king sized despite it being a standard room and very comfortable, we both had a very good's sleep and were pleasantly surprised at how quiet it was. Having said that it was a Sunday night so the hotel was less than full and I don't think rooms near to ours were occupied. Staff were all friendly and helpful. We had a bar meal in the evening, standard pub type food but hot and enjoyable although a little overpriced (£13 for a chicken burger, chips and salad). Breakfast was just ok, a good choice but had better. Leisure facilities were nothing out of the ordinary but we found the steam room and spa pool very relaxing and again seemed clean enough although there was no hot water to the "fun shower" (broken tap) so definitely not a temptation for us! The biggest drawback is its location. There is very little nearby (although it is right by the motorway) but otherwise you are somewhat isolated unless you have a great desire to visit the nearby business park! Free wi-fi and a good strong signal. The bottom line is we had a relaxing and enjoyable stay even if for one night and on the whole, fantastic value for money.

We booked a weekend away 24th-26th Jan with a wowcher deal. We paid £99 for 2 nights bed and breakfast, 3 course dinner, a bottle of wine and use of the facilities.
We arrived late Friday night, check in was friendly and efficient, our room was one of the ones yet to be refurbished but was perfectly adequate for what we needed, yes maybe it could have done with a lick of paint but it was a good size clean and the bed was really comfy!!
Breakfast was the traditional buffet fry up with the option of fruit, cereal, toast, croissants etc, tea and coffee was available as well as fresh fruit juices and water.
We used the spa facilities all day Saturday and spent a good few hours between the pool, jacuzzi and the steam room, all very relaxing and only a few other people in there.
We had our meal Saturday night, reserved a table for 7pm amd were seated just before, restaurant staff all really friendly and helpful, for starters there was tomato soup with fresh crusty rolls or a cold meat and salad selection. Main was of a carvery style, meat was really nice, perfectly cooked and the selection of Yorkshire puddings, potatoes, veg and gravy was ample, my husbands only criticism was there was no peas! There was a wide selection for desert, chocolate cake, coffee cake, cheesecakes, plenty to tempt you!!
All in all we had a really lovely weekend away, time out from our children and some much needed quality time.
If you are expecting the hilton or the ritz go and book there!!!
For what we paid it was fantastic value for money and we will most certainly stay here again!!

The entire experience from start to end was simply poor.

No acknowledgement from staff when arrival at hotel and waiting in the q, a simple thanks for your patience would have sufficed.

I had booked the executive suite and found the ac/heater not working, 2 x 14 inch Philips tvs (really!!!!!) a bed which was raised in the middle so sore back in the morning, a lamp not working, a power socket not working, a strange odour, all led to a extremely sleepless night.

Was booked in for 3 nights, checked out next morning, found the nearest Holiday Inn and moved.

I'll not be back.
