Sadly, it was tipping down, so we didn't dispense with coinage as we weren't kitted up sufficiently for the downpour and te camera stayed firmly in the bag... But even so, the info surrounding the site was enough to make us want to come back as this is a "must see" Dramatic natural environment with a strong sense of history surrounding.

Thank you for your review. It does rain a lot here in Devil's Bridge. Last summer being one of the wettest on record. We even had to close part of the Punchbowl walk as some of the railings at the bottom viewing point actually got washed away. We think that a tree trunk must have smashed into them on it's way down the river! However the rain has stopped and we have been left with a very cold dry spell so the falls are looking a bit 'thin' at the moment! The falls look best after a heavy rain fall followed by sunshine. It does happen! You can face book us to find out what the weather is like nearer the time of your next visit.

A really dramatic set of waterfalls plunging down the side of the valley.

I saw it in the pouring rain at the end of january and was pretty much alone. I enjoyed it but was by a nagging sense that it was terribly small minded having to pay to take in the view. even if it was only a couple of quid.

In a way one felt the progression from edwardian day out, through someone realising they could make a quick buck to todays gated, channeled, controlled run down and around the falls and then back again.

In a landscape of such ancient wilderness and unbridled space and utter beauty it was an unwelcomed feeling of cheap imposed restraint.

An absolute must if fit enough to climb down to bottom of falls, especially the Jacobs Ladder and then back up again the other side. Then having a well earned 'drink' from pub in Hafod Hotel!

Attractive and interesting waterfalls which have an entry fee. The walk is not for the faint hearted, especially Jacobs Ladder in the pouring rain! Also, you descend along way down before climbing up the other side so this walk may not be for everyone. If passing then worth a stop and the old road bridges are interesting.
