We stayed at the Dovecote, Hunshaugh, near Chollerford on the 24th May and it was a magical experience. The Victorian walled garden is now in it's prime and to sit there with a glass of wine having had a superb home cooked dinner was simply the best; especially after a hard day's walking. Nothing was too much trouble for our hosts, David and Jane, and the packed lunch for our next day's trek was also excellent. We had a peek inside the Dovecote itself and it really has been beatifully refurbished. We were in the main house and the room was just as described and after a good night's sleep and a delicious 'full English' we were on our way again. Will definitely stay again.
