Restaurant is Fabulous the Food is exceptional especially the deserts,,the pies all home made and my favorite is BUTTERSCOTCH PIE one will never find better in the province so that says a lot. Friendly atmosphere , great prices and one ever leaves without saying how great their meal was.......Kudos to the owner and staff...will be back again and again.

Myself and friends went here for lunch and while we found the quality of the homemade food very, very good; but the portions were not adequate. Some of us had the delicious quiche but the pieces were quite small and the plates were overfilled with tossed green salad.
We all (four of us) found it awfully expensive for such a small tad of quiche with too much green salad.
One more thing is the owner is very, very friendly but we were there to visit with each other and found it kind of annoying that she stayed so long at our table talking..

Saw this little place that looked cute and was tucked away between to much larger businesses so we decided to check it out.

Went in around 10h30am and asked if we should make a reservation for lunch; owner answered "we only have 2 tables left for today. Should I book it for you?" We said yes and returned for noon.

Had the broccoli, leek and blue cheese soup which was awesome as an opener. While we waited for our lunch to arrive(everything is made fresh when ordered) we went through a gated doorway into a jewelry, souvenir, card, flower shop and browsed to our hearts' content. Wonderful there too!(but that's next door so will not be included in this review).

I ordered the "Chef's choice" and was surprised at the size of the portion*; both the wrap and the salad would have been plenty for the 2 of us. There was a lot of very tender chicken in the wrap and the home made mayo used was delicious. Very little pepper, good size pieces of sweet red pepper, pieces of salad greens and a very fresh wrap made for an excellent plate.

My bride had the asparagus with blue cheese quiche; came pippin' hot and was also a very large portion* for 1 person. She also enjoyed an excellent house salad with her lunch.

Home made salad dressing was a thick, clear savory sweet sauce with poppyseeds. It was so good we finished the container using our coffee spoons!! I even put a bit on my wrap.

Note: owner came and asked us which desert we wanted to have and we said "No, Thanks" to which she replied: "No one leaves my place without desert" She came back with a nice butter tart and 2 desert forks. Of course, it was home made as well and sinfully delicious. Good thing we went for a long walk afterwards to burn off some of those calories!!

2nd note: Incredibly clean - no dust anywhere, not even on the intricate light fixtures and she's had the establishment open for 5 years!

Price for 2 was very reasonable especially considering the quality of the food; no pre-made food here!!

Quiet, very comfy Tea Room that reflects the owner's pride of work and bubbly personality.

We will return during summer months!

*We are mindful of what we eat and how much so when I say "large portion" keep in mind we are used to eating 1200-1500 calories per day.

Better get there early for the best tasting pie ever tasted! Sells out fast. The rest of the food was lovely too. The atmosphere is sweet too as well as the staff!

Quiet little tea room offers wide array of teas.
Nice setting, very friendly service, great servers.
Call ahead to make a reservation for lunch though before the old timers take it over lol.
Always fresh picks such as quiches, sandwiches and soups.
Can't go wrong with any pie, but I will share a secret, they make mind-blowing lemon meringue pie.
Each three elements are exceptional and together outstanding:
Flaky pie crust, light perfect meringue, but the filling....oh man, never tasted anything more lemony or even more flavour concentrated,
Any lemon meringue afterwards is not the same, standard is set here.
