What a beautiful little retreat.

It is tucked up on the side of the hill, so it is even away from the not exactly busy B4558/4077.

Now it always helps when its 2 extremely warm sunny days in the middle of February. The owners are extremely friendly, accomodating and willing to assist with our 2 year old.

Breakfast is a pleasantly slow and enjoyable experience with traditional / Welsh / vegetarian options etc.

If you're a city dweller like ourselves, stop for a moment outside the hotel before dashing off on your walk. Just listen to the birdlife without the drone of traffic.

If you're not convinced you are able to walk long distances or hills, never fear. The canal is 200 yards down the hill and winds along the hill with no gradient to worry about.

Meal time was splendid. For the adults their was the al a carte or the Prague menu and for the little one a choice of organic burgers / chicken or fish.

The quiet homely bar is a comfortable place to reflect on how little (or much) you're done all day and look forward to the next day of doing the same.

Stayed here with my parents for a birthday surprise. Lovely hotel. Log fires in the bar/lounge and dining room, ridiculously comfy beds, views over the hills and a gentle stroll into Crickhowell for a pub lunch, all rounded off with a gorgeous three course dinner in the hotel restaurant. Will definitely be back.

A gorgeous little hotel up the hill from Crickhowell. Fantastic views from the bedrooms to Table Mountain and Sugar Loaf, with plenty of good walking opportunities. The hotel itself is a haven of relaxation with welcoming owners, a cosy little bar and amazing food. The restaurant serves consistently delicious locally sourced food and was a definite highlight of our stay; the venison is particularly recommended!

After two visits we will definitely be returning again.

Went to the Brecons for a Hiking weekend and stayed at the Ty Croeso on recommendation from our neighbours. Their descripton was spot on. The hotel is located with lovely views of the hills. Eagles soared and screeched nearby. Our room was spotless and cosy. The food was outstanding. Service from everyone in the hotel was first class. Linda and Pav were great hosts. It is a great base for hard days in the hills followed by a nice relaxing evening.
If the Brecons are the crown then this hotel is by far the jewel. We will return and are letting friends, family and colleagues know about the place..........

We spent two nights at this hotel when walking in the Brecon Beacons. The walking deserves a review in its own right - perfect. The hotel has fantastic views, excellent food (try the Welsh goat's cheese souffle) and friendly owners who couldn't do too much for us. Pav knows all about local walks. The rooms are a tad on the small side, but they are perfectly comfortable, very clean and have everything you need. There's a large cozy bar/lounge which is great for relaxing before or after dinner. The hotel is a short way up a hill just above the canal and so it's off the main road. So no traffic noise, very quiet and just lovely. If you're travelling to this part of Wales you wouldn't be disappointed if you stayed here.

Stayed here a couple of years ago it was good then but now, with new owners, its even better. The rooms are well decorated, Beds are comfy and the food is excellent. The Hotel is off the beaten track, up a narrow tarmaced road and set into the side of a hill. With views across the valley towards Crickhowell the setting really is one of peace & tranquillity.
