We came to stay here on a Groupon voucher with our dog. We loved the fact that he could come and we had a really lovely stay in an awesome lovely room. The bar was really good, the resturant was lovely and our breakfast was great and exactly as we wanted. The only problem that we have with the stay was that we had the evening food on the set menu that was not up to standard. The starters were lovely as were the deserts but for the main course we both had the steak and were quite upset when they came out and we found that they had gone for quanity and not quality and the steaks were rather dry and leathery.
Other than the main courses I have to say I would love to stay here again and would reconmend it to my friends and family.

We stayed one night using a Groupon voucher and found everything to be good. Our room was clean and comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful. The golf course was quite challenging for a par 3 and because of the rain was in need of a cut but the greens were reasonable and the bunkers had been raked. The biggest disappointment was the state of the toilet/hand basin adjacent to the course which was very dirty.

We have just returned from a one night stay here and have to say after reading the reviews we were very much looking forward to the warm welcome from the manager 'Sean' unfortunately reception was closed so no sign of him, so we made our way into the bar, only person around was the barman, he checked us in, gave us a key to our room which I have to say was the worst room we have ever seen and we are regular travellers, the shower cubicle was black with mold! We returned to the bar and asked to move to another room, which to be fair they did and that was ok, a bit old fashioned but acceptable. Having said that the food was great, hubby played golf and the breakfast was fab, well done to Mark the young waiter, the barman and one other lady who served us breakfast, these were the only 3 staff on, so all in all a very friendly team shame there was no manager on site.

Room Tip: Avoid room 8

We booked this hotel with a groupon voucher so didn't know what to expect. The staff were really friendly and Sean the owner was really obliging and friendly. The meal we had was fantastic and the overall atmosphere was relaxed and friendly.

Will definitely go back again.

Room Tip: All rooms have lovely views, we stayed in room 21 with a four poster bed and Jacuzzi bath.

We booked as a party of 16 for Sunday lunch to celebrate our daughter's 18th birthday. The staff were very friendly and helpful and went that extra mile to ensure that our needs were catered for. The meal was exemplary and thoroughly enjoyed by all. Definitely will be visiting again.
