We had a drizzling rain and as we stepped into the Hotel and met the Hotel Owners - I wanted to stay more than just a day. There was four of us and each had an excellent evening meal that concluded with a hot apple pie with 2 scoops of vanilla ice cream. The accomodations in the room were excellent and I love what they have done with the older house to keep some of the "Ambiance" of Wales. The following day the breakfast was wonderful and as we left for our next appointment I wanted to spend the next week at the hotel. It is a shame that others have not found this Hotel, but I expect to spend my next visit to Wales at the Dolforwyn Hall Hotel. My cap off to the Hotel Owners and especially the cook. Lovely visit.

My wife & I stayed one night on our way to holiday in Wales, we received a warm welcome, enjoyed an excellent meal to end a most pleasant day. We had a good nights sleep in comfortable beds & nice room. The following morning we were served a full breakfast again very good meal before departing. We would recommend this hotel warmly & without hesitation. We hope to repeat the experience for a little longer in the future.

My wife and I stayed at the Dolforwyn Hotel for one night and found it to be a quite delightful establishment.

Mid Wales in spite of being one of the most beautiful areas of Britain, is sadly (or maybe luckily) little visited by tourists and commercial travellers . Plenty of people head for the coast but they just don't take in central Wales en route. As a result there is an extreme shortage of decent reasonably priced accomodation. Enter Dolforwyn Hall Hotel to the rescue. The building is an amalgam of an old timber framed farmhouse - maybe 1700 - with an extension added in about 1820. In front of the hotel is a pleasant terrace where one can sit with a drink and admire the the hills across the valley and watch the sun set. Don't miss the walk up to Dolforwyn Castle for some really fine views.

We received a warm welcome, our spotless room on the front of the hotel had a superb view across the River Severn valley. Beds were quite hard but then I prefer them that way. We went out for dinner but the hotel dinner was much recommended by others. Breakfast was excellent with first class bacon and suasages accompanying our eggs.

We would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.

Dolforwyn Hall Hotel - one night, single traveller. Excellent welcome, excellent view ( green, hilly, scenic, near to Shropshire Border), Good food - huge mixed grill - cosy but well appointed single room, car parking. I would stay again.
