We had the meal of the day and it was wonderful - chips and salsa, quesadilla, schredded pork,
red rice, chicken mole, beans and tortillas. Great Mexican meal.

We took a trip into the mountains from Nuevo Vallarta and had the good fortune to lunch at Comedor (Restaurant) La Lupita. This was the best Mexican food I've ever had in Mexico. Steaming hot shredded pork, bisteca rancheros, chicken mole, guayaba. We were the only ones in the restaurant (just before the season started). It's out of the way, not on the central square but worth the short walk. Yummy and completely satisfying.

My wife and I visited San Sebastian with our two sons on August 3rd and 4th. We arrived by bus and cab from Puerto Vallarta in the rainy season to find the power out all over town. Undismayed, we took the advice of Debra at Hacienda de Esperanza la Galera and headed here for lunch and as party of a visit to the coffee plantation down the road.

The power outage didn't faze them staff at all - we drank jicama water (I had cafe de olla...yumm). We ordered machaca, chilaquiles, cheese quesedillas for our youngest, and chicken mole. The food was plentiful and freshly prepared. Paired with general atmosphere of the place it was a wonderful lunch'

The only drawback was that a Vallarta Adventures group arrived before we were done and it was diufficult to get la cuenta and depart. Oh well, still highly recommented.

La Lupita was our chosen lunch stop during a recent San Sebastian road trip (made with friends, in a private vehicle) one day this past May, and based on our dining experience there, we sure made a great choice.

A pretty restaurant, with a spacious interior, and small outdoor patio, allowing ample space inside for small and large table arrangements, high ceiling, and very colourful, decorative walls. The restaurant is located just a short distance from the main square and church.

There was no written menu, we were just told what the lunch offering of the day was, we said 'yes', and what we were served, was so good!!

We had: appetizers of beers and agua fresca's (the latter selected from two different kinds), served with nacho chips and salsa's - then came several individual plates and servings -- quesadilla's (w/cheese), frijoles (refried beans), rojo (red) rice, machaca (a shredded beef dish), and chicken legs and thighs, with mole sauce - with baskets of tortillas. Each and every dish was well-prepared, tasty, and so delicious!! The machaca and mole chicken 'the' best we've ever tasted!! Total cost was 460 pesos, for the works, for the four of us.

A much-enjoyed, wonderfully-prepared and presented meal, served up in a lovely place, with very friendly and accommodating service. We loved it!!
