Don't let the outside deter you. This is an older, old fashioned single story motel but we found our rooms to be comfortable and clean, and the price was very fair.
There were four of us (with two dogs) and we needed four beds. The friendly proprietor showed us rooms with a connecting door. The larger room had two double beds, a dining table, full kitchen and bathroom. The smaller room had two twin beds and a full bathroom, plus a microwave and small refrigerator.
This arrangement worked out just fine for us. The beds in the larger room had pretty quilts on them which appeared to be hand-stitched. The smaller room was definitely on the small side, but the cost for it was only about $60!
I think they had free wi-fi but cannot remember for sure. The towels were nice and fluffy, and although the shower in the smaller room was old fashioned there was plenty of hot water.
The motel sits close by the river, with a big grassy lawn between it and the river which was a great place for the dogs to get some safe exercise. There is a little gazebo with a picnic table which would be a nice place for a barbeque on a warm evening.
There were not many guests the night we were there and it was very quiet. We were in the main building and noticed there were other buildings which perhaps might be for long-term guests. There was also some sort of dormitory on the north side, but we didn't hear anything from that area.
We ate dinner at the local pub about a mile from the motel but I didn't get the name of it. We had the Wed night all-you-can-eat fish-n-chips and they were very good! Lots of food for about $12!
The Kreekside Motel is not fancy but we had a good night's sleep here :-)
