This is the worst waste of time and money I have ever been too! Im not faint-hearted and was looking forward to learning abit about the history of the jail itself, I can safely say I found out nothing about it!
The owner has to have a missing link in his life to put all that together, it gave me the creeps! I couldn't wait to get out!
If your interested in seeing Lady Gaga's boot, some celebrity boobs, then this is the place for you.
It could be such a good attraction they just need to get rid of the owner. He was on the t.v programme 'four rooms', the object he brought in the four buyers were extremely offended by one of them even offered him money to burn it, it disturbed them that much. Definately don't take your kids they will be scarred for life! Do something else when in the area, just don't visit this place unless you like weird things!

This is a day out not for the faint hearted, but if you have ever been curious about notorious criminals, celebrity bad news, Quadrophenia, autographs, and general memorabilia, you'll need to set aside a full day visit. When you first arrive you wonder what you've come to see, with a room full of all sorts of weird and wonderful bits and pieces (giant tortoises, policemen's hats, to name just a few things). But you soon realise there's a lot more to this museum, which is in an old jail. The cells are crammed full of pictures and memorabilia, clothes and implements from well known names. And everywhere you look there are autographs - name any celebrity ever and you'll find them there, I'm sure - and these are usually accompanied by the worst headlines that particular person has ever had. There's even fragments of glass from the car which crashed and killed James Dean, and letters from Princess Diana. A real mish-mash of things to see, but fascinating and absorbing. However, there is a dark side to some of the exhibits, which could be seen as offensive, depending on your disposition. You have been warned!

Interesting place with some great items from the world or crime including Fred West's spade, Charles Bronson's glasses and artwork. The Holocaust room is interesting but not for the faint hearted. Loads of random things as well as other items such as lugers, SS uniforms, striped pyjamas, police equipment. They also have a Quadrophenia collection which is worth a look.

It is definitely not suitable for young children

Some of the stuff there had nothing to do with crime.. I think the person who put this together was a bit of a weirdo if you ask me, and has just gone mad and collected as much sadistic stuff as they could find. When you first go in you see models of police in uniform, so I thought, yes that's historic. Then a stuffed bear and other creatures, stuffed animals born with two heads, and other birth defects. Is that a crime?? You go through various rooms, and all you see is newspaper cuttings of various events, and lots of memorabilia, letters etc. Too many to read. I lost interest in the end. There was stuff there of a sexual nature too. Certainly do not takes your kids there. Not really educational, more titiliation for some people I would think. Not what I expected. If you want to see a real jail as it was then this is NOT the place.
