The family enjoyed a luxurious accommodation and felt very welcome on a short stop-over in JHB on our way to the Kruger. The Wesley in Bryanston is ideally situated for this. Receptionist Noly (hoping that spelling is correct) was very helpful.

Quiet place, with great group of people taking care. I came early morning with my friend, there was no problem to prepare room immediately, with invitation for breakfast , place in the bar when I was taking a shower. Great classy room - shame that for one night only

I enjoyed my stay at the Wesley. the rooms were quite neat and warm. In the room i enjoyed the high quality duvet and pillows on the best and the uninterrupted unlimited WIFI Access.

What i do suggest they improve on is to have their pool heated in these winter months since we could not utilize it, or rather have the Jacuzzi working. Secondly if they can have a printed menu for their breakfast so that guests can have an idea of what they serve.

I stayed for 4 nights, honestly I liked the cozy bedroom set up and breakfast, dinner. Maybe I was unlucky, 1st night checkin, heater not working (freezing whole night), hair dryer not working with wet hair at night and kettle not working :( Got it fix next day when there was staff around. 2nd night heater not too warm to warm up big exe room (still freezing in sleeping). Got a portable heater at last on 3rd day but power failure during dinner time. Only last night everything went right. No phone and staff working limited time are the lack of service quality issue.
So I am not sure should I return again when I'm in Johannesburg next time.

I never get tired of getting back to the Wesley. This is luxury at its very best. My last stay was excellent and Johannesburg was cold and I always found the air-con in my room switched and the room warm.
The rooms are well appointed, smart and charming.

This time l got to have breakfast and l must admit the food was tasty.
Viva The Wesley :-)

Room Tip: Room 3. This is a little flatlet

The location and setting is absolutely beautiful. We made the mistake of booking one of the more basic rooms which had no shower! We also found that because the reception has limited people on duty, it is hard to find someone to assist if there is a problem as there are no phones in the rooms. We needed a hairdryer as there was not one in the room. We found that although the room was nicely decorated, the drawers in some of the cupboards could not open - they were jammed and the cupboard did not have hangers to hand trousers - for us, these were basics that were not addressed. Our TV remote also did not work so to change the TV we had to stand next to the decoder and change it manually. The breakfast was adequate but because we only got there after 9:00 each day, the fruit salad was finished! I'm not sure I would stay again for the simple fact that there was so much missing!

Room Tip: I would not choose room 4 - it was not great! Ask for larger room with shower

Nice place, you must change the sign outside, it's rather frustrating looking for a sign which does not exist, especially at night. otherwise a beautiful and quiet set up...I loved it, I will visit again.
