“Blue Hole”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 11, 2012

It is unbelievable to imagine that under this spooky orifice there is a cavern so big it would take one of the Egyptian pyramids! It is also where my son has set a number of free-diving world records. At 360 feet on one breath of air, and with only bare feet to swim back, he was in total darkness and only half way down!

“A lot of fun”

The best part about this was climbing up to a cliff above the water and jumping in...if you have an adventurous side, highly recommend it!

“Beautiful and mysterious”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 12, 2012

I'm no diver. However, this beautiful spot lured all my family into the water and several, including one brave 11-year-old, climbed the high ledge to take the big jump. There is a wonderful contrast in the colour of the sea-water from the translucent greens of the shallows to the mysterious dark blue of the Hole. The snorkellers found myriad fish including one barracuda, scores of jacks etc, and one granddaddy lobster by the rocks. The divers have a floating platform with a measured line descending beyond sight into the depths.

Go reasonably early in the day and you'll see all this undisturbed by others.

Almost no litter the days we visited; it comes off the tourist ships and from further afield. If you don't like litter, don't go to the Atlantic coast.
