“Excellent location, great little flat.”
Reviewed March 12, 2015 for a stay in February 2015

There were 4 of us, a couple and 2 adults, so we occupied all the bedding available and it worked well for us. With suitcases in the living room that was cramped, but sitting round the table and on the sofa bed was fine for the time we needed it. The location is excellent, central for the slopes, the bars and local shops and food. The accommodation was hot, even with the heating down the whole apartment block seems to maintain a core temperature, so we were opening windows rather than thinking it was too cold! We also got one of the first come first served parking spaces (of which there were 6) and we never had any problems with neighbours, access, noise or amenities. We used the TV and DVD which had some good old films, and the UK adapters in the flat was very useful as was the free WiFi. Only thing to point out would be the top bunk only supports a 50kg person, so good job our 5th adult decided not to travel.

“Excellent apartment in the best location”
Reviewed February 21, 2015 for a stay in February 2015

Just returned from a week at this apartment. Enjoyed a week of glorious weather in Morzine. Travelled with my husband, daughter and teenage grand daughter.
the apartment is everything as described and more.

The pictures do not reflect the size, nor how homely it is.

We arrived in the resort early having driven down the day previous to our stay for an over night stop en route and were able to arrange early access for leaving baggage etc. This was a great help, we could shop, arrange ski hire etc without eating into precious holiday time.
The location of the apartment is perfect. We parked the car in a space reserved for travellers to this apartment and there it stayed until the time we left.

We have been to Morzine many times and this is the first year that we used the free bus service.

The apartment has everything you need to self cater efficiently, near to local shops and restaurants as described by Matt the owner.

Yes the bedroom is small, but the bed was amazingly comfortable, as were the bunks and bed settee in the lounge area.
there is plenty of space for clothing and luggage to be kept out of the way,

The kitchen area is well appointed and equipped. the bathroom is a really good size and beautiful with hot water in abundance. (not always the case in apartment blocks.)

The lounge /dining area has a very comforabtle settee to seat three and there is lovely balcony furniture, a small settee and two arm chairs. We brought the chairs into the lounge which gave comfortable seating to us all.

The TV has recently been upgraded, and as a previous reviewer states it is mostly French channels. Not a problem, we were able to watch films, play music when we wanted. However with so much to see from the balcony or lounge window who needs tv.

the views are really wonderful. A great spot to watch the firework display and night skiing at Plenney.

I would definately recommend this apartment to travellers.

We spoke to Matt the owner during our stay and he could not have been more helpful.
Will definately return.

“To good to be true!”

Fantastic apartment in a great location. It took under 5 minutes to walk to the gondola. Restaurants and shops are a few minutes walk away too. Beautiful views of the mountain from the balcony. This apartment is ideal for everyone therefore we will be going back next ski season and the season after that!

“Brilliant Location in a beautiful resort”
Reviewed February 15, 2015 for a stay in February 2015

My family and I stayed for a week in this apartment in Morzine. We had a great time with the apartment definitely contributing to this. It is well located between the two lifts out of Morzine which is great as we skied in both avoriaz and Morzine so the walk was no longer than 5 minutes in ski boots. I think there was a bus but there was no point in waiting for it. It is also well located for the spar and the boulongerie for breakfast and well located for bars and restaurants. The bigger supermarket was a 15minute through the town but this was an enjoyable walk!

The apartment was fine for 6 adults who know each other well, but you don't go on a ski holiday to spend loads of time in the apartment. The kitchen is well equipped to cook in for the week, with an oven being a great plus, as most french ski apartments just have a microwave oven! The raclette machine was also great and the fondue machine! Bathroom has new fittings which are clean and well kept which again is great for a ski apartment. The radiators also worked well to dry everything which is also great. Beds are small but comfortable and collapse up for more room. Matt was also a great property owner, replying very quickly when needed and provided a helpful PDF before we arrived with good directions to the apartment.

I would recommend this apartment highly if you are going to ski and have a great time within a budget but be in the middle of everything!

“Amazing Location and fantastic Flat”
Reviewed January 11, 2015 for a stay in January 2015

went out with a group of boys to stay in Morzine and booked this apartment. Would defiantly recommend for anyone looking for the best possible location to the bars, shops and ski hire places. Matt the owner was fantastic and sorted out a small issue at the beginning of our stay with ease and with no disruption to us. We were a group of boys so being close to the bars and having the best bar in town below the flat was a great advantage. its a small flat but has everything you need for your stay and was very well kitted out with a great bathroom, comfortable beds, kitchen and massive TV for playing tunes through. Great place and a great time.

“Great apartment in a fantastic location!”
Reviewed July 7, 2014 for a stay in May 2014

I stayed here for a week with two friends and we had a fantastic time. I have been to Morzine before and knew the apartment location would be good, and it was perfect :-)

The apartment was a good size with a nice new bathroom and kitchen. It was clean throughout and had a great view from the balcony, which we sat and enjoyed many evenings before going out.

We had a lovely stay and would definately recommend the apartment to others.

“Great location but terrible sleeping quarters”
Reviewed April 22, 2014 for a stay in April 2014

We recently stayed at this apartment in the center of Morzine town for a long weekend due to its handy location for getting to restaurants/supermarkets and its affordable pricing. Though we were very happy with the location when we arrived (less than 3 minutes walk to town center with many cafes, restaurants, etc.) we were not as happy with the apartment. There is a modern bathroom and kitchen which were great during our stay. However there was a large TV in the living room which was rather useless as you could not access any channels and would have had to have brought your own DVD's to watch anything on it..........bit dissappointing when you want to come in after a long day of skiing and just sit in front of the tele for a bit. On top of this the bedroom was extremely small and was more of a box than a bedroom as it has no windows and just about fit the bed. On top of this the bed was a murphy bed (one you pull down from the wall) meaning that it was almost in the middle of the room. This meant no headboard and we found that our pillows were constantly falling down the back of the bed. On top of this the pillows provided were some of the worst I have ever seen. They were obviously extremely old and were lumpy old things. Also we were only given 1 small lumpy pillow each. On top of this there was no toilet paper provided (which was a nightmare as we arrived on a bank holiday weekend and most of the supermarkets were shut so we had to used kitchen towel all weekend). Finally when we arrived the apartment was so unbelievably hot. We had the radiators on at 2 (keep in mind it was still snowing at this point) and we barely slept the first two nights as we were so hot, even with the sliding door propped open. We then turned the radiator off all together and it was still uncomfortably hot. We will not be going back to stay here again as I had viewing some other properties for around the same price and I know for a fact you can get better accomodation than this at the same price.

Management Response
Apr 30, 2014
Firstly, I am sorry you didn't have the best experience during your stay in my apartment. I had no contact at all from you during your stay, so it's frustrating to know that if you had contacted me, I could have resolved any issues you had.

- The TV has access to all the french channels, of which there are several English speaking programmes and movies. In the TV cabinet below the TV, there is a folder containing DVD's and a selection of board games. There is also a cable to allow you to plug your phone or music player in to be able to listen to music.

- The bedroom is listed on the website as small. The photo of the bedroom reflects the size. It has a full size double bed with walking space around it. The bed, which is new this season folds away to allow the bedroom to be used to have a cot for babies. The sofa bed in the living room is available if for any reason you are not happy sleeping in the bedroom (this is the first complaint about the bedroom I have received in 4 years of letting the apartment). I agree the bed needs a headboard, but as it was only installed this season, we have unfortunately not had the time to install one.

- The cupboard in the hallway contains spare pillows and duvets, all of which were new this season, and there for your use.

- The cleaners are supposed to leave a roll of toilet paper in the bathroom, however on this occasion it appears they have not. I would have been happy to deliver a roll of toilet paper if you had contacted me.

Regarding the price of the apartment, as you said it is in one of the best locations in the centre of the village and is walking distance to all restaurants, bars and both the gondolas. The apartment was recently renovated and has had a brand new kitchen and bathroom. This is the first year I have listed the apartment on holidaylettings, however I list the apartment on other websites and have a number of visitors who book the apartment each year, which I think shows it is good value for money.

It is easy to compare the value of my apartment with others on the website and I am happy to match the price of any comparable apartment.

If I could suggest in future when you stay in an apartment that if you have any problems, you let the owner know so they can sort the problems out for you. I want my guests to have the best experience they can in Morzine and in my apartment. It's a shame you didn't contact me when you arrived or at any point during your stay so I could have sorted the problems out for you, but instead decided to leave a bad review.

Kind regards,

Matt
