Just stayed here for one night due to a mix up with another hotel. I can only comment on the room and the desk as I ate at the other hotel for evening meal and breakfast the next day. Spacious room. It was a triple with an enormous double bed and a small single. Quite plain decor but very nice, Good sized bathroom with all amenities. View to the back of the outside pool covered in snow and the small gym set back in the garden. This had large windows and I could see someone running on a machine in the distance. Nice and quiet even on a Saturday night. Staff very pleasant. Nice wooden decor. A very welcome place to be when I thought I was going to be out on the street for the night!

Great breakfast- town 10 min walk away. Some man went mental because two of us tried to sit Ana table for 4- when the restaurant was only 1/4 full!

Very family oriented- so lots of kids running rampant. Would not suggest for couples!

Room was warm, comfortable, spacious and clean. Breakfast was good. Dinner was decent value for the nights we ate in the hotel - we weren't on the half board option. Having wine on tap was great and of decent quality.
The hotel is half a mile from the ski lifts but there is a shuttle bus stop right outside the hotel which goes every 15 mins or so.
Staff were helpful and friendly.
Laundry facilities in the hotel were useful.
Swimming pool and spa were reasonably good.
Gym was in a separate room outside the hotel and not particularly inviting.
Very enjoyable stay overall, would certainly recommend the hotel and Morzine as a ski destination.

Room Tip: From the pictures on the website it looked like there were some rooms more recently refurbished. We...

We stayed at Le Cret first week of the ski season over Christmas 2012 and it was brilliant. Hotel lovely, very comfortable, nice hot showers and room cleaned everyday which is nice to come back to after day on the slopes. First ski holiday with kids and it was everything we wanted it to be after hours searching online so were very pleased with what we got. Buffet food was really good, lots of choices and great for kids to be able to help themselves. Our waitress Corrinne was excellent, wine on tap always a plus and actually was pretty decent. Entertainment largely for french but gala dinner on christmas eve good and very cleverly done (tables grouped as they are in the restaurant so all english together etc). Bus stop to slopes right outside hotel and although busy were frequent, making it easy to get into town and back. Town only ten minute walk so very accessible with supermarket 200 yards away (though not really needed). Slopes excellent, after a week still had lots to explore and ski school very good. Only thing not good was a cold jacuzzi! If you looking for a good family ski holiday then you can't go wrong with Le Cret.

This hotel far exceded our expectations. We were expecting a comfortable hotel with decent food with acces to the Portes du Soleil ski lifts for our group of 77. We got: outstanding food, complimentary table wine for every dinner, nightly shows by a talented team of entertainers (don't miss Alex's magic show), on site ski shop, shuttle bus stop directly in front of the hotel, 2 indoor swimming pools, hot tub, free wifi, friendly atmosphere and hosts. Rooms were very spacious, all with terraces. I can't say enough, so I'll shut up.

A cruise ship in a ski resort. . .wonderful food, great service, nice accommadations. Close to everything. Wine, on tap, with every meal. Very accommadating staff. Nightly entertainment. A must do is their Raclette in the lower dining room.

We stayed here from 19-26 Jan 2013. Billed as a 3+ hotel, it was pretty good for the money. Large room, controllable heating, comfortable. Pleasant atmosphere, lounge, entertainment if you like it. Free wi-fi.

A 10 minute walk to the Super Morzine lift, 15 mins to Pleney lift, although buses and a little train connect the two lifts. Being out of town makes it a nice, quiet location.
We stored our skis at Intersport at the Super Morzine lift. This is highly recommended to avoid the walk with heavy skis They were BRILLIANT.. polite, helpful, good English, no problem changing skis and I got some more wax on mine (no charge) mid week.

Food at the hotel plentiful; all you can drink wine (not bad either) at dinner at no extra charge. Our waitress, Corrine, was super helpful..The problem is that there was poor provision for vegetarians. Usually, it was just a case of taking the meat off the plate and either increasing the veg or adding some pasta. Many of the buffet items / salads contained meat (they love lardons in France)..sometimes hidden, so we had to ask for help as nothing was labelled. Desserts were really good and varied. Lots of different cheeses.. mainly the soft, mild type.

Breakfast was only OK..they did something really strange to the scrambled egg and omlettes which tasted like powdered egg.

For us, the food was an issue, but for meat-eaters..this definitely gets a 4 star. We'd go to Morzine again, but not here.
