“Will return”
Reviewed March 27, 2013

We stayed as a couple here between the 9th March and the 16th March.
We loved the hotels location, right at the bottom of the plenney piste and a couple of minutes walk to various bars and restaurants without being noisy. You probably wont require the restaurants as the food in the hotel is excellent. A small train stops almost right outside the hotel which takes you to the super morzine gondola that takes you up towards Avoriaz which is a huge ski area.
We found this hotel to be very clean and all of the staff very friendly and helpful.
The breakfasts were pretty much what you expect from French ski resorts and for me its really good. I really liked the freshly squeezed orange juice, after my excesses of the night before.
Our room 309 looked out to the ski school meeting point and plenney piste which was ideal for watching the torchlight procession.
I would really recommend this hotel and will return again ( hopefully) in the future.

This is a nice hotel, very friendly staff. Plenty of hot water. Bed seemed to over heat at night (had to go out onto balcony to cool most nights). Very clean. Great entertainment two nights, wold have loved more (6 nights). Location excellent right beside gondola for skiing.

One problem.... Food was not good, however did not put on weight. Vegetables over cooked, soup cold etc. Food in Sporting Hotel the year before was absolutely gorgeous. I will return to Champs Fleuris due to location, cleanliness, great view of the slopes and the music (although only 2 nights) was excellent.

If a different chef was employed (maybe you could steal the Sporting or B'ell Alp Hotel Chef) this hotel would be perfect.

A small table on the balconies would be beneficial. Rick from Easy to Ride Skiing School is the best most professional instructor I have ever had. If you intend to take a lesson, I recommend asking for Rick.

Room Tip: Get a room overlooking the slopes.

My wife and I finally allowed ourselves to be persuaded by our long-time skiing friends to join them on a week's ski holiday - our first ever - in Morzine, staying at the hotel they'd stayed at the previous year, the Champs Fleuris, arriving on Saturday in the second week in January.

We booked a mountain view room with a bath, so found ourselves in a corner room - 315 - on an upper floor, with a balcony and wonderful views. If we'd been looking to book a hotel ourselves we might have passed over the Champs Fleuris since it is only graded three star - but it actually offers much more than that.

Our room was comfortable, with a TV that showed BBC and ITV channels (if you have the time and inclination to watch TV), modern bathroom with rainfall and normal shower and separate loo. Soaps, hairdrier, bathrobes and slippers are all provided, along with a safe. The hotel is kept very warm, so much so that we turned the radiator off in our room.

After a day on the pistes, returning to the hotel gives an opportunity to sample the cakes laid out for guests before heading for the sauna and steam room to iron out the day's aches and pains. And a drink - with nibbles - in the bar before the evening meal allows an opportunity to meet the hotel dog who is happy to make your acquaintance and help with the nibbles - a stuffy French hotel this isn't! On the Sunday of our stay we enjoyed a welcome drink with all of the guests in the lounge - a nice touch - along with live music (which was very good). Live music was also provided mid-week and again, was very enjoyable.

The meals in the hotel are excellent - we'd booked the half board package - the evening meals being particularly inventive and varied - each consisting of a buffet starter, choice of meat or fish course, cheese (huge selection) and a dessert. Wine is reasonably priced and if you can't manage a whole bottle, it will be kept for you for the following evening.

The hotel has a very informal and relaxed feel, which reflects the effort that the owners, Veronique and Jean Marie and all of their staff put in to making guests feel at home. Veronique and Jean Marie are happy to give advice and make arrangements for their guests and you do feel very cossetted and looked after. The hotel also has a pc in the lounge with free internet access.

Any niggles? A couple of very minor ones - we could hear noise from adjoining rooms (but we're both very light sleepers) and the pillows could be more supportive - but these are minor quibbles in an otherwise excellent experience.

We hope to return to skiing in Morzine next year - in which case we will return to this hotel - but my wife and I may stay here in the summer, so taken were we with the area.

Room Tip: Book a room on the upper floors with mountain views and a bathroom - these rooms are bigger - and on...

mmmm Inghams brochure says its 4star and when we arrived on the 26th Jan 2013 first thing i noticed was the sign out front clearly showing it to be a 3 star hotel. But forget the star ratings the food in the evenings was 5* and the buffet breakfast was at least 4*,ok the rooms where a bit dated but how much time do you spend in your room when you have a great Ski resort with the bubble lift a matter of 200m away as is the ski rental shops. We had room 314 which had great views of the slopes.Would go to this resort and hotel again, hopefully next year :).

Have just returned from our second visit and equally as good. Great location if you are a skier probably the best in Morzine, next to the Pleney lift. The transport for the Super Morzine lift usually stops very close to the hotel unless it is icy and the stop is a further very short walk to the main road. Hosts are nothing short of charming and run a very professional business. Food is great, plenty of it and delicious. Superb hygiene standards across the board. Will be on our list for another year!

Room Tip: Beautiful views from piste side rooms but you may get some noise from piste bashers and artificial s...

We stayed at this hotel for a week in August and cannot fault it one little bit! The rooms were spotless the beds comfy, nice balcony. The food was fantastic, and service perfect, the packed lunches were enormous!! enough cheese and parma ham to feed an army!
The location is brilliant at the base of the mountain right next to the lifts, and overlooking a paddock where the paragliders are landing constantly! every afternoon was entertaing watching the Boules!!!
This is on my return list!

This is a wonderful hotel with fantastic hosts and staff. It was our first time ski-ing in March 2012, so we didn't know what to expect at all, but I would highly recommend this hotel. Amazing food; we stayed half board so had buffet breakfast which was great and very filling, and evening meal. I have to say that I love my food, and every night there were 5 courses, including soup, salad, main, desert and cheese (extremely good - really extensive number of cheeses, as you'd expect!). We stayed in a room with a balcony, overlooking the slopes and it had a great shower and bath(which were very welcome after our first stint on the snow). It's in a great location, right next to the bubble lift (at least, I think that's what it's called). Really can't recommend this hotel enough. Would go back in a heartbeat.
