Had an excellent stay at this hotel in late March 2011 - 3 girlfriends on a week's skiing holiday booked through Crystal - we got an excellent deal by booking late. We had booked a triple room and on arrival were shown to quite a small double with a single bed next to it, it was all very tight and not ideal for 3 adults particularly with ski wear etc. We asked if there was anything bigger, the manager was incredibly helpful and as the hotel was not quite full there were a couple of other options, one of which was a room with a sofabed in the lounge area and then up some steps to a mezzanine with twin beds, and a lobby area which gave us much more elbow room. It was very comfortable and perfect for us.

We loved this hotel, the quality of the food at breakfast and dinner was superb, the bar area was good fun and across the course of the week we fell in at different times with other guests and it was all very friendly. The staff at the hotel were also very friendly.

Being late March the weather was warm and sunny so one afternoon we even enjoyed a swin in the pool - they slid the glass roof back so it was like being outside! - and sat on the sunloungers in the garden.

Great location in the heart of the town and close to ski lifts, bars, restaurants, shops, I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

very nice hotel for skiing.
Good location
Clean rooms, great dinners with oyesters and prawns every night. Pool and sauna, free internet.
Staff is great and efficient
and there was a nice surprise to us, that at Russian Christmas they made special dinner for us, with menu at cards, with flowers to women and congratulate us at Russian:)

As about minuces:
Just a little overpriced
Bed is not good

A friend and I stayed in this hotel for 2-nights for a short ski-trip on a half-board basis. It was very well located and I found the staff to be helpful, polite and efficient. The bedrooms are relatively basic - but clean and reasonably well equipped (safe, flat-screen tv) - pretty much what you'd expect for this type of hotel in a ski-resort. The food, and the restaurant service, was excellent. I'd certainly stay at this hotel again.

My wife And I have just returned from a half term break to Morzine. There were 18 of us in total, spread between chalets, a family-owned apartment and, to our misfortune, les Airelles.
Upon checking into our €330 per night room, we found our own way to a room that had clearly not had a euro spent on it within the last twenty years. Tiny, tatty bathroom, chipped paint everywhere, a balcony no more than two feet wide, sliding wardrobe doors that flatly refused to slide (bear in mind this was one of their "double plus" rooms). I immediately asked for another room and was shown to an even smaller one. Even by French ski resort standards, this one was a gem. Had there been a cat around to swing etc. Upon asking for a room that was bigger than a broom cupboard, we were told that there were no other rooms available. This despite the fact I'd booked the room some 4 months earlier and secured it with a €500 deposit. I was further told, and I quote," if you don't like it, go back to
England." This from a hotel whose web site promises "only smiles welcoming you".
The only positive thing I can say about this place is it's location, right in the centre of the town. That's about all you get for your €330 per night.

We stayed at this hotel for five nights in Jan 2011. The location is very convenient for both the Pleny and the Super Morzine lifts - both a short (5 mins and 7 mins respectively) walk from the hotel. Very nice spacious room. TV, but only English channel is the BBC News channel. Very comfortable, with heating you could turn off!

A bit of noise from the bar across the street, but with the window shut it was bearable.

The thing that really sets this hotel apart is the food. The service was fantastic. We chose to eat in the dining area around the pool as it was cooler than the main dining room. There was a young lady who seemed to be in charge of this dining area and she was absolutely fantastic. She was assisted by a couple of young male waiters who were very skilled and professional and such good fun to interact with. They were really great. There are effectively 5 courses at dinner, and they are all fantastic quality. We couldn't manage every course as there was just too much to eat. There is alot of fish, but you can request an alternative if you don't like fish, although we found it delicious even though my husband isn;t usually keen on fish or seafood.

We would definately stay here again if we came back to Morzine.

Family run hotel for over 50 years, so they have had time to get it right - which they have! Everywhere spotlessly clean, friendly helpful staff, who seem immediately to know who you are. Best of all, the restaurant - fabulous 5-course meals every evening, first course of which was selection from a beautiful buffet where every item was well presented and prepared. It was fish focused as previous commentators have mentioned which suited us but alternatives were always offered at the start of the meal. Just to prove that we have stayed here, a minor criticism is that the information pack in the bedroom was only in French. We definitely plan to return this year. Location is good - close to the ski lift and our bedroom with big patio windows and balcony looked out on to the picturesque square - we'd heard comments that it might be noisy but even on New Year's Eve we had no problems. Whilst the swimming pool could not be used during meal times, it was a large pool in an attractive setting where we took breakfast and lunch. The hotel provided robes and towels. Another big plus for us, was a good shower in the bathroom.

After searching the web for days looking for a centrally located hotel with mountain bike amenities, I found the Hotel Les Airelles, booking over the phone, very good english spoken by the staff. The hotel looks directly on to the central square in Morzine town, perfect for access to the Pleney and Super Morzine lifts. It was nice being able to watch the comings and goings of other bikers/tourists through the square from our balcony.

Our arrival was delayed due to bikes not arriving at GVA. We eventually entered the hotel after 10.30pm, met by a cheery, welcoming barman. He happily served us a filling supper (salad, cold meats, breads).

Checking in to our second floor room was no problem. Room 22 has recently had a new bathroom and toilet room fitted, very cosy decor with corner bath and overhead shower, perfect for very dirty MTBers. I would hope this was part of a long term refurb plan as the bedroom decor is quite dated with tatty wallpaper in the corners and under the units. The bed was two 3ft singles pushed together but you would never had known unless you looked closely! Very comfortable with sheet and blanket coverings, we could have done with 1 extra pillow each as only one each available in the room. We didnt bother asking for spares. Wall mounted TV with a few English speaking channels. BBC World and MTV. As we were using the room as a base for MTBing the Portes Du Soleil, having a large, covered balcony was perfect. Yes the balconies are open and not divided but this posed no problem what so ever. We could dry wet/ muddy clothes and shoes in relative security. Very few guests there when we stayed. Daily housekeeping to a high standard.

Half-board booked. Partner is a chef and not up for cooking on holiday! We were satisfied with a continental breakfast, cereals, (coco pops, muesli + 1 other), breads, croissants, choc au pain, meats, fresh eggs to boil, fruits, yoghurts, great selection of jams with coffee, tea and hot chocolate - all self service. Toaster and Bain Marie set up on the buffet table. All meals served by the swimming pool with its retractable roof, waiting staff chatty and polite, detailed in their translation of the menu in to english. Cold Buffet available every night. There is a lot of fish on the menu and it is tasty and well cooked, presented. You will be offered an alternative if you wish. All desserts superb!

Mountian bike base - we used the ski locker room to build and store our bikes, could have brighter lighting and perhaps a bike stand to borrow would be a great help, I got sore arms holding the bike up while BF built them! Room is secure enough with access from outside via coded entry system. We did have the bikes locked together when not in use. Bike wash / hose available to use a few metres up the carpark.

Downfalls - Rooms are not well soundproofed, we could clearly hear next doors TV and ours wouldnt go loud enough to drown it out! Party Central - pubs very loud a few nights of the week, even with the balcony doors closed. If there is festival / events on in the square it can get noisey early evening but nice to watch from the comfort of your own balcony.
Free internet connection did not have good signal in this corner of the building but it was nice to sit downstairs in the lounge, watch the world go by in the square and surf the web!

I would certainly return here Summer or Winter, maybe with some earplugs for night time!
