I had an excellent time and Phill and Sophie were both brilliant. Couldn't have asked for better hosts. The chalet is great, with plenty of food to keep you going throughout the day, and it is in an excellent location.

What fantastic hosts Phil and Sophie were, everything was amazing and couldn't have wished for anything better, from the moment we arrived to the moment we left they couldn't have done anymore for us and made us all feel at home from the start. The food was the best we have ever had at a chalet and so was the hospitality. Thank you so much. xx

Room Tip: they are all fantastic rooms !

I've done a number of fully catered chalets over the years, including some so called VIP ones that didn't quite hit the mark. Sophie and Phil gave us such a fabulous welcome upon arrival, but that was only the beginning of the outstanding service. Being served drinks in the hottub is just the height of decadence. The food was absolutely superb and the rooms a reasonable size. The communal rooms are split if you want to get away from the kids / other group in the chalet! The bootroom has plenty of room and heated boot warmers. The chalet itself is less than 5 mins walk in boots to the Supermorzine lift and about 10 mins to the Pleney, although Phil will even drive you there if you ask! It's right next door to the bustop for a quick walk home from Avoriaz if you want to come down the hill properly instead of in the supermorzine chairlift. The very very good microbrewery pub (le bec jaunes) is about 5 mins away, with the main shops less than 2 mins walk. Did I mention the food was superb?

The only downside is that some of the rooms face onto the front st, so there can be a bit of noise from drunks returning home in the wee hours, plus one of the neighbours has chickens and the bloody cockerel starts up at about 0600.

Room Tip: Go for one of the back rooms, or bring ear plugs.

Phill & Soph made us feel at home from the start, going the extra mile to make for a great week at Chalet Jirishanca. The chalet accommodation is over three main, split levels giving a spacious feel, especially the open-plan living/lounging areas. The en-suite bedrooms are well appointed, there's a side-access heated ski/boot room and great hot-tub deck on the south facing rear. Short ~400m walk to Super Morzine lift; walk to new Pleney Gondola ~800m.
