I visited with two friends in late December. We used the hotel as a base for a few days skiing. The hotel is close to the town centre and not far from the slopes (about a seven minute walk to the Morzine telecabine and chairlifts), but off the main road so there's no traffic noise. The hotel had ski storage facilities but we elected to leave our skis at the rental location each night to save carrying.
The welcome we received on arrival was warm and friendly. We were a party of 3 adults sharing a room, and the owner decided to put us in a bigger room than the one we had booked, which was very generous.
Facilities are basic but functional and clean. The room had two distinct sleeping areas with a double bed in one and two singles in the other; the two areas were separated by a small but clean bathroom with a bath and shower (which worked well). There was ample storage for the three of us including bulky skiwear. The wifi worked fine and we were able to make video calls and stream video. We could have done with a few more power sockets, and for the sockets to be in more accessible locations.
Breakfast was a buffet with cereals, good cheeses and meats, croissants and bread, fruit, yoghurt, and the option to boil yourself an egg. Help yourself to juices, tea, coffee, hot...I visited with two friends in late December. We used the hotel as a base for a few days skiing. The restaurant is open in the evening for dinner (pre-booking is required) but we didn't make use of it so are unable to comment on the food.
There is a small bar area, with beer or tap and a selection of other drinks. We ordered gin and tonics which were made with tonic water that was past its best, but the beer was perfectly good.
Overall this friendly, family-run, hotel is a good bet for anyone looking for a budget place to stay in the ski season.More
