“Amazing holiday, accomodation and hosts”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 1, 2010

We had an amazing time with family and friends at the end of August. I was the only mountain biker in our group and Lindsey and Thierry have provided excellent facilities for bikes; a big, clean secure garage/workshop, cleaning facilities and drying room. The family were well entertained and the food, drink and accomodation were perfect. Plenty to do in summer; pony trecking, ice skating, high wires (Go Ape style) swimming as well as the best MTB facilities in Morzine, Les Gets and Chatel.

I'll definitely be returning (and trying the Fantsticable at Chatel next time)

Lyndsey and Thierry are the perfect hosts with an amazing chalet in a great location. Highly recommended.

After the glowing reviews on TripAdvisor, our expectations for Chez Pascal were high... and yet were totally surpassed. From the moment our fifteen-strong party booked, Lindsey was incredibly helpful; she arranged lift passes, transfers and ski school classes in advance. Upon our arrival, Thierry and Lindsey, and Keith and Val (chefs extraordinaire!), made us feel like we'd arrived in our dream home on the slopes: a home complete with an extensive home-cooked breakfast, afternoon tea and cake and an amazing four-course dinner served with free flowing good wine every day (they effortlessly accommodated special meals for 1 veggie, 1 non-dairy and 1 non-cheese eater); beautiful, cosy bedrooms and ensuite bathrooms (all cleaned daily); a games room (with a much-used table football table!); an open log fire; and all this was a stone's throw from the slopes, lifts, shops, bars etc. The skiing was also great; we had boarders and skiiers, from absolute beginners to seasoned experts, and everyone was very satisfied after their days on the slopes ... even in 20 degree weather, the expert skiiers of our party found great snow with Thierry's helpful guidance and daily weather updates! Overall, the best thing about Chez Pascal was that Lindsey and Thierry always went above and beyond to ensure that we had a great, relaxing and fun time.

This was our first skiing trip in 14 years and wanted it to be memorable. Chalet Pascal did not disappoint in any way. In spite of a skiing accident and a broken arm, Linsey and Thierry were perfect hosts and gave us the feeling of being their house guests rather than paying customers. The food and facilities were superb and we loved the town of Morzine. Great restaurants and friendly ski shops etc. Skiing was plentiful and varied and with enough runs to keep even the most discerning intermediate/beginner interested for weeks. Definitely recommended and worthy of their status as number 1 in Morzine

After reading the excellent reviews we felt extremely comfortable with the decision we had made to stay Chez Pascal. Our actual stay outperformed even those expectations. From the moment we arrived we were warmly greeted and the chalet 'became ours'. We were in a big group half children half adults. Everybody had a great time. Lindsey and Thierry are fantastic hosts with Val and Keith ever pleasing withthe gastronomies from the kitchen. You can ski out almost from the doorstep and you certainly can ski home. Nothing is too much trouble and everybody associated with Chez Pascal are flexible to your wishes. We have already booked for next year - we wouldnt have found anywhere better !

The title really summarizes our experience staying here. Having stayed at hotels in Morzine in the past, this was our first time in a chalet and must say was it brilliant. The location is truely ski- in ski-out and minutes walk to chairlift and other town amentities. Thierry and Lindsey are great hosts and made sure we were never hungry or wanting for anything. Food was delicious and served in great sized portions, which made going for the cheese board very difficult on most occassions. Wine was excellent and free flowing, which made for some interesting banter. All in, it was a great time and we look forward to returning again!

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
Ski in, ski out 7 bedroomed central chalet in Morzine, French Alps (just over an hour from Geneva airport, Switzerland). The chalet sleeps up to 16/18 people over 7 incredibly spacious bedrooms (6 ensuite, 2 x family rooms share a large bathroom). Chalet Morzine is a gorgeous traditional chalet and has been in the Rodriguez family since the early 1960's and is one of the original buildings in Morzine. Full of french charm and character the family history of this chalet is incredibly interesting (read all about the origins of it on the history page of our website). This is a solid concrete build (no thin wooden walls here) and stands pride of place just under the main ski home run, Le Pleney B, in Morzine. A simply fantastic location, not only for skiing but its location right in the centre of town means its only 2 minutes away from the nearest restaurant and a 5 minute walk to the Tourist Office. The chalet bedrooms are tastefully decorated in true mountain style with modern bathrooms all with huge balconies with views over Morzine and the slopes. The lovely lounge has a wonderful open log fire which you can snuggle around and watch crackle as you have dinner. In the Summer, the outdoor space around the chalet is fantastic, with trampoline, decking and bbq. In the winter, the field in front is a fantastic sledging slope for the children. A huge outdoor hot tub, separate games room with table football, all helps to make this accommodation a true destination for fantastic holiday memories to be made. ... more   less
