“Beautiful setting - one of the best hotels ever.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 10, 2013

Beautiful setting, although in a suburb. Very attentive staff, kind and friendly. New rooms that are big and fresh. Superbe food. This is a great place to be and to eat. Children are very welcome. The pool is great.

Dear Client,

Thank you very much for your kind review and for the time you took to help us improve our service.

We are glad you spent a nice moment at Les Agassins.
Our new team does its best everyday to make our clients as comfortable as possible.

Moreover, our chef Jean Rémi JOLY uses to work with fresh products and he changes the menus everyday, according to the season.

Finally, children are very welcome at Les Agassins and we try to provide all the furniture that our clients might need during their stay (baby coat, extra bed, high chair for the restaurant ...).

We hope that we will have the great pleasure to welcome you and your family again very soon.

In the meantime, we wish you all the best.

Kind regards,

Maëva

"Les Agassins" is a beautiful place, you suppose first you arrive in midle of Suburbs... but finally you enter in Oasis of peace, The French Chef cook a really delicate plates with all the heart of the Provence. The Room are correct but for the price I know Better, you have also some Humidity Smell all the Day, it's maybe ok when you arrive in 2 stars but not for this kind of Hotel..... Sorry

Dear Customer,

We would like first to thank you for the time you take to write your opinion.
It is true that we are located in a shopping street, but when you enter you are welcomed in a beautiful Florentine house nested in the heart of an hundred-years-old park.
Also, our Chief Jean-Rémi Joly orchestrates our restaurant with all his well-doing since 12 years.

We apologize the inconvenience for the humidity smell, we have already resolved this problem.

We thank you for your positive and negative opinion, which allows us to improve our quality service.

We hope to see you again.

Yours faithfully,

Aurélie,
Front Desk.

Cool, charming oasis in the south of France manged and run by considerate staff who when presented with a challenge worked very hard to try and overcome the problem. For example one evening the lift was not working so it was imposable for our party to go down to the dinning area. The Hotel laid a table for us and served a fabulous meal on our balcony. The food is outstanding whether it is a light meal or 6 course banquet and unusually the chef is a friendly as the rest of the staff. The problems our party experienced were all caused by the agent we booked through and I would never use Expidia again. It is a real treat to stay in an outstanding hotel with approachable professional staff.

Dear Mrs B.,

We thank you for your comment that affects us.

It is true that we have the advantage of being ideally located close to the tourist center in a quiet garden.
We are also really pleased to see that all of our team have been able to meet your needs, especially for Mrs L., instead of Expedia's lack of communication.
We are glad to know that you, Mrs L. and Mr L. have enjoyed your stay and the served meal.

Looking forward to welcome you again,

Sincerely yours,

Aurélie,

We entered an oasis of rest here. The surroundings are not special like mensioned before, but it doesn't matter at all if you get here ! You have to do the city visits with your car, that's the only inconvenience... The rooms are totally new, very nice and very comfortable. The pool and terrace are so relaxing...but the pool is very cold (for me not a problem, but for my wife ...). Everything started extremely nice. The food in the restaurant is also superbly good, a very nice half board for the whole family.
But ... I have read about the unresolved airco problems in another review...and we had a luxury room with jacuzzi bad, that didn't work neither ! And I think already for a long time. We stayed here four nights and they didn't do anything to fix it ! I have to say that they did give a nice reduction on the room because of that, but I had preferred a reparation :-) .
In the restaurant I ordered nice wines (for a special occasion). The first day, the white wine was put on the table without anything to keep it cold. The second day I ordered a nice Chateau Simone of 1985, a fantastic wine (132 euro), and they put it on the table like a bottle of water.... I asked myself to "decant" the wine. The next day, same situation (Chateau Neuf du Pape 1995). I don't want to be "pretentious", but a think if you order such a special wine in a "Gatronomic" restaurant, the service could be better.
Let's say there is a lot of potential in this very nice hotel, really a good adress, but they should do some more efforts to make it perfect !

Room Tip: If you want some rest ask for a room at the second floor. If you like direct access to the pool ask...

Dear Customer,

Thank you for taking the time to write a comment, it is very important to get feedback from our customers.

Just for your information you could also take a bus to visit the city center, we have the chance to be well deserved.
We are glad to see that you have appreciated your room and our Chief's food.

We apologize the problem of your balneotherapy bath.

You seem to be a well-knower of wine and we are sorry that our restaurant service did not have met your expectations.
In fact, we are totally aware that we had to do some efforts about the service.
We have a new director, since 1 month and a half, and he is teaching us about service at restaurant.

We hope to welcome you again in our hotel and we will do better for your next stay.

Our team remain at your own disposal for any further information.

With our best regards,

Aurélie,

The hotel is quite a distance from the walled town of Avignon. It is located in an area that is less than affluent.
The hotel itselfis really nice, clean and has a beautiful garden and pool area. Rooms and spacious and well appointed. Staff are friendly and helpful.
Food is very good but expensive as is the hotel itself.
I woiuld stay again, but only on buisness.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a balcony

Bonjour,

Further to your comment, we thank you for taking the time to send these suggestions.

We took time to study your email, indeed we have the chance to be located nearby Avignon (only 3 kilometers), in a quiet atmostphere with the possibility by bus (just in front of our hotel) or by taxi (with a reservation at the reception) to get to the city center very quickly and easily.
We think it is rather a positive, to take a break after a day in the city center.

We thank you for all these positives and we hope that we are going to have the pleasure to welcome you again, and we wish you a nice summer!

With our bests regards,

We booked for 3 nights but moved after 2 as air con was not working. The hotel has pretty grounds but outside the property you find yourself in a busy industrial area. Quite a contrast!
Room would have been very good if the a/c had been working. Food was very good.
In the end the hotel made all the arrangements for us to move to another place with a/c. The staff were all very helpful.

We spent one night at Les Agassins in Le Pontet and were were delighted with the Hotel. The welcome was warm and informative. The bedroom was in the main building with a little terrace looking out onto the park and swimming pool. It was spacious, spotlessly clean and recently decorated. We thouroughly enjoyed our evening meal and chat with the Chef, and the impeccable service from the restaurant staff. The breakfast buffet was plentiful, varied and well presented, We could not fault it. We used a Weekendesk voucher for this visit and we were not disappointed have worked in the luxury hotel business for many years and honestly it was a pleasure to find a hotel where the standard of service and the welcome were of the same level as we give to our clients. We thank you we recommend the Hotel Les Agassins to future guests without reserve

It is a real pleasure to read your comments and we thank you.

The strength of our business is in fact to provide quality services in a unique setting.

Our hotel was completely renovated in 2011, with a very sleek design.

Our chef takes the time to meet clients during their stay to share his love for cooking and we are glad that you enjoyed this approach.

Thank you so much for your review, we would love to read such comments everyday !
